I have had one of these for around 10 years now, and that alone says quite a bit. I don't think any glass graduated cylinder has lasted that long due to accidental dropping. With that said, don't put something incompatible into it if you expect a long service life (charts are easily available online for material compatibility). The cylinder itself has yellowed slightly over that time (likely due to storage during a move where I put these together with some iodophor concentrate - not my smartest packing decision during the move), but no other issues. The base has held up well. It is very easy to clean with a long brush used to clean carboys and I have not noticed any scratches from this cleaning method.
