Hauntingly beautiful,
By John Trudo (Colorado Springs, CO United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Namaste (Audio CD)
This may be the most hauntingly beautiful music I've ever experienced. While the tracks contain enough eastern mysticism to satisfy the kind of listener who might be intrigued by the CD title, there is something more here than temple bells. From Rasa's hypnotic "Prabhupada Padma" to the eerily sublime "Calling Wisdom" and the oddly touching "The End of Suffering," the music satisfies something elemental in the soul. This is a 2-CD set. The second CD contains a meditation exercise of about 15 minutes. While meditation may not be your thing, you can't go wrong with the music.

Sensual and Spiritual. A must have!!,
By
This review is from: Namaste (Audio CD)
I've owned this CD for about a year and absolutely love it!! I was surprised there was only one other review made on amazon. I use this CD just about every night when I go to bed, it is beautiful. It gives me such a sense of well-being and deep inter-peace.
It is a compilation of many different musicians and includes music along with relaxing vocals and gongs and chimes. I love one of the final songs called The End of Suffering (music by Gary Malin and vocals by Phap Niem). Unfortunately, amazon doesn't include a clip of this particular song. It has both East Indian and Asian influences. I also love the song by Rasa entitled Prabhupada Padma. I promise, you won't be disappointed, all of the songs on the CD are unique and wonderful unlike many CD today where you get only 1 or 2 really good songs. There is something very sensual and spiritual about this music. I don't understand the words, but the internal feelings I get are very peaceful and relaxing. Also included is a second CD with a 15-minute meditation. I have to say when I first went through the meditation it almost scared me. You are taken into a place of nature on a hillside and a stream and you meet up with a stranger. That's what scared me because he doesn't tell you that you're actually going to meet up with yourself! Since then I have gone through the meditation and it is quite good, now that I know the stranger ;o) If you're interested in a meditation CD you might also try Yoga Nidra (which you can find in my reviews on amazon.com).

Absolutely Blissful!,

This review is from: Namaste (Audio CD)
This is one of the most blissfully meditative CD's I've listened to in a long time! I can listen to it all day and never get tired of it. It has music that heals at all levels. If you're really having a stressful day, week, or month, this with a cup of herbal tea will have you de-stressed in no time!

Have heard this CD Over and Over ...,
By Ford Peck (Encinitas, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Namaste (Audio CD)
I have been a massage therapist for about 12 years. Occasionally, I will come across a CD that I can play over and over again and never get tired of it. This is one of those. Over the last two years, I have probably heard it hundreds of times. It is the best compilation of sacred / new age / relaxing music I have ever heard. Enjoy!

I love and listen to all types of music. But when I heard this CD I was completely mesmerized; I was completely "blown away." I have never had music touch me the way this music has. At first, I could not get past the first song, "Returning to Now", then I made myself listen to the entire CD without repeating some of the other tracks like "Horizon of Gold, and "Calling Wisdom". Then when I heard "The End of Suffering" I lost it! A river of tears streamed down my face for this song touched parts of me that I didn't know existed; it went straight to my heart. I just cannot say enough about this magnificent, meditative and blissful music. It is beautiful beyond words and I am so happy that I just happened to find it. I cannot stop listening to it. The entire CD is a work of art!
And my husband could write a book about the "Meditation" on disc two. He was so awed by it that he found himself speechless when he tried to explain the experience. This compilation of song, music and meditation is worth far more than the money you spend. I am going to make this CD a gift to family and friends.

I purchased this CD purely from what I had read online from other reviews. All I can say is that it is absolutely beautiful... so much so, that it is almost 'haunting.' It really is a worthwhile purchase.

Namaste,

This in my opinion, is the most beautiful music I've ever heard. The music sampler cant possibly capture the beauty of this entire CD. It is a wonderful meditation CD, one that can put you in a very peaceful, deep medatative state, a musical masterpiece of every track that will take your mind into an incredible state- there's nothing like this one, Namaste. It is my very favorite CD of all.

Ultimately my class members rate my yoga CDs. Namaste produced only positive feedback from participants, no negative. It is very soothing with a few familiar songs. The only negative is from me. This CD is just under 60 minutes. If your practice is under 60 minutes it is not a problem. It would be great if the length of the CDs were listed with the product.

It is a most peaceful place to go. When this CD is on I am gone. Not Away but into a quiet, restful, space. The creatures of planet earth could use more of this to envelope themselves in. This is Real Music. Thanks to all those responsible for sharing this music and the meditation disc.
