Amazingly durable, the dish is safe for use in the oven, under the broiler, on a stovetop burner, and in the freezer, so that a casserole or dessert can be made ahead of time, frozen, reheated, and served directly at the table. The thick metal retains heat (or cold) exceptionally well, and will not crack, chip, or tarnish. Like all Nambé metalware, the casserole is not safe for microwave or dishwasher-use. Square, round, and lidded round casseroles are also available.
