This Santa Fe chip-and-dip set is perfect for an appetizer when New Mexican green chili enchiladas are the main course. The set features a metal dip bowl for holding a favorite salsa, and a wooden tray to fill with blue corn tortilla chips. The tray is made of acacia, a durable, lightweight wood with a distinctive, striped grain. With the same excellent heat and cold retention as other metal Nambé pieces, the dip bowl can be used to heat or even bake a cheese dip in the oven which can then be placed under the broiler to create a bubbling hot top. The bowl can also be thoroughly chilled in the freezer to keep a smoked salmon dip cool during the length of a cocktail party. While not safe for dishwasher- or microwave-use, the durable metal will not chip, crack, or tarnish and should be washed by hand. The wooden tray can be wiped clean after use.
