When I was looking for a napkin holder I hadn't expected to purchase something like this; I was looking for something basic - but I saw this and knew I had to have it! I have several other pieces of Nambe so this fit in perfectly. This is much more than a napkin holder - it's functional art. I love love love this! You won't regret this purchase.

Our family loves having napkins readily available at the table. I thought this holder looked classy, and an upgrade from our current tension-mounted napkin holder. I thought the "pebble" would stay in place while pulling out a napkin. Wrong. You have to use one hand to pick up the pebble and use another hand to grab a napkin -- not always ideal with small children, or if you have dirty hands and are just looking to grab a napkin quick. If you misjudge when pulling out a napkin without removing the pebble, the pebble can fall off the napkins and ding up itself and the table/holder! Also, the silver finish of the pebble and the holder itself is easily smudged, so I am constantly cleaning it if I want to do the only thing it is really good at: looking nice on the table.

This is best for those sorts of people (you know who you are) with white carpeting, no children and those who value aesthetics over true functionality. Now I am stuck with this non-utilitarian piece of junk. Oh, and the fact it cost $80 makes it even worse.

The Nambe pebble napkin holder is beautiful, sturdy, and extremely well made! I hestitated to make this purchase because it's just a napkin holder and it was on the pricey side; however I'm glad I bought it -- it will sit in any home I reside in as it is the last napkin holder I will buy. I love it!

works really well as a way to have napkins ready at the table. the weight is great for keeping everything in place but you can pull out one at a time.
love it!

Just plain classy!! Large enough to hold all types (sizes) of napkins and it's so different (not like the average napkin holder!) A little pricey but so worth it!

This is just as pictured and I really like it. Fits any size napkin, though we take the ball off during dinner to avoid getting crease/whatever on it.
