I always say only trust what the Bible says, however the last time I was in LA, I stopped by Sunday moring to hear Dr. Price at the Faith Dome, and picked up thsi book, I skimmed thru it and found it was backed up Biblicly. I beg of you by the mercies of GOD to not by into this "name it and claim it" lie. I've lived it for over a decade, and trust me, it does not work. Have I prospered in this world? Yes. I will re-read it, and look up the verses for myself, however "naming and claiming" has been working, in Jesus' name, and it only works when you are in God's will, and providing that what Godgives to you, you are willing to sow right back to Him and the Church. Interesting read, to say the least, but again, THE BIBLE should be your only and final authority in your life.

5.0 out of 5 stars These Biblical princaples work..., March 11, 2005
This review is from: Name It and Claim It: The Power of Positive Confession (Paperback)
The princaples Dr Price(who has spoken at my church many a time) will work, the problem with many Christians is that they will use name and claim princaples, while not tihing or giving offereings, or hearing from God, and just by not living clean or according to His will, or by not applying God's word to your life, if you live by God's word, then your words, when they agree with His, will bless you financially and in every other way, then you can name & claim it. For instance since I got involved with Price's ministry and started to understand the princaples, I named and claimed a condo and got it two weeks later, with no money down, and i'm claiming a 57 Chevy, now and it's on it's way in His name!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book, especially for those going through rough times, February 25, 2005

name-it-&-claim-it "Jesus Loves You" ("we walk by faith & not by sight") - See all my reviews
This review is from: Name It and Claim It: The Power of Positive Confession (Paperback)
When I was going through the lowest point in my life, I had nowhere to go but up. And Dr. Frederick K.C. Price, and his church helped me, by making it clear, that the word of God works, and God does what he says, and in Mark 11:23-24 He tells us we can have what we say. Though you should always read out loud and study the Bible for yourself, when reading any book, that isn't the Bible. However Dr. Price really covers a great subject here that can change your life, and with God's word we can get out of our debt and into prosperity, and He will give us the desires of ouyr hearts. As my pastor always says we see the invisible and do the impossible, this is how Christians should be living.

5.0 out of 5 stars Allergies healed through claiming in faith... it works!, October 22, 2011
This review is from: Name It and Claim It: The Power of Positive Confession (Paperback)
I bought this book back in the '90s. I read it during a time when I knew I'd be able to get into it without interruption and meditate on the scriptures. After reading it, my faith level was very high. I was then able to claim, in Jesus Name, the ability to eat 2 specific foods that previously had produced allergic reactions in me. I made each claim separately, that I could eat that specific food without adverse effects to my body, then promptly ate some of the previously offending food. Voila! These allergies were not life threatening, but had been quite troublesome and I have been able to eat both of these foods without trouble since then. If Jesus said we can do it, then we can, BUT BEING IN FAITH IS THE KEY!!! I would highly recommend this book.

I beg of you by the mercies of GOD to not by into this "name it and claim it" lie. I've lived it for over a decade, and trust me, it does not work. Have I prospered in this world? Yes. Was it because of positive confession? No. We have to seek FIRST the kingdom of God and his righteousness and GOD will add things unto us. Do I belive death and life are in the power of the tounge? Yes. Our words should line up with the word of God. But all scripture does not pertain to everyone. For example, "the Lord giveth and taketh away". Job said that, not God. Or when Paul asked God to heal him of the thorn in the flesh. Jesus response was, " my grace is sufficient for you, my strength is made perfect in weakness". But do I believe in healing? Of course, Jesus was wounded for inquities, and by His stripes we are healed. But what about Paul? Jehova is Soveriegn. We cannot command GOD to do anything. If that was so, Betty Price would of never got cancer. Or she would been instantly healed by claiming, " by Jesus stripes I am healed. Or Dr. Price would not have sent out a letter to his supporters saying the ministry was down $4M and had to lay off key people. The fat of the matter is part of living the christian life requires persecution. And persecution may come and finacial woes, physical ailments, relationships (family/friends), but he who endures to the end shall be saved. Rayquan Gregory
