5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best Manga Ever, May 12, 2010
This review is from: The Name of the Flower, Vol. 3 (Paperback)
I'm well into my 20s and the regular lovey dovey shoujo manga kinda gets on to my nerves. However, Hana no Namae is such a beautiful manga. Beware, it's not one of those 'boy meets girl and fall in love' kinda typical story. It is more of a Josei nature than shoujo in my opinion. It shows a beautiful yet painful relationship between two mismatched people, each with their own troubles and secrets. As the story progresses more characters become involved, but together they try to maintain sanity and stay true to their own feelings. A beautiful story indeed, about falling in love, coming in terms with their pasts, growing up, etc. If you're looking for an easy read, then this is not for you as the story is complex. However, this is definitely a good read, and worth giving a try!!
