Many of the reviewers are too busy bashing this man personally that they are not taking the time to actually review the book. The point of this book is to know thy enemy. Knowledge and the awareness of spiritual warfare is key in every christian's success.

That being said, I enjoyed this book immensely, especially when Mr. Larson explains how demons work in groups and a pyramid heirarchy, with the stronger demons at the top drawing energy and power from the weaker ones. I am reminded of Jesus' conversation with the demon possessed man and when Christ asked the demon possessed man,"What is your name?" the man replied,"Legion, for we are many." This is a point that Bob Larson hits on as well as how demons, once they are expelled will sometimes return with other demons in order to repossess a person and this time the person is worse than before.

THe old saying, "The greatest trick the devil ever played on man was convincing man he doesnot exist." Bob Larson not only verifies the existence of Satan but of Satan's henchmen, a legion of fallen angels that Satan took with him to earth in rebellion against God.

What an eye opener into the devil & demonic network & how to deal with them. He even gives examples from his own experiences. This is not a book for the fainthearted. It's for spirtual warriors who want to do damage to the devils kingdom in Jesus' name. Great book.

It's an awesome book but it's NOT for the fainthearted. It's for spiritual warriors who want to do damage to the devils kingdom in Jesus' name.

This book not only deals with demons and other dark issues, it also is a great way to discover your own spirituality. I would reccommend this book to anyone wanting to know the truth about the things Satan can do. The book is also great for those who wish to be informed about these issues and destroy any pre-concieved notions or falicies about demon possesion they might have. Contrary to the opinions of many of the other critics, I found Larson's book extremely insightful. It has given me new assurance of who I am in Christ. If I am to be more than a conqueror, I need to know the authority by which I live!

The enemy's biggest weapon is that of making believers think that he (Satan) does not exist; or allow us to picture him as a little guy dressed in red with two horns on his head (from "the Screwtape Letters"- C.S. Lewis). I encourage all to test the spirits and see that Larson's teachimg is Biblical. But may we continue to use the Word as our Sword!

An informative book. Some have questioned Bob Larsons motives and sensationalism. Even if true he has useful information that the forces of evil want hidden because when we find out the power Christ has given us we can pull down their stongholds.We do not have to put up with them or their curse they brought on this earth.I will not put up with them or it and any information I can obtain to stop them I will use.READ THIS BOOK! It is not for me to judge Bobs motives or methods. I could care less. Does he say anything worthwhile and useful? Yes. I will not judge him,thats for God and not me. Lets say some of these preachers are not honest for arguements sake.Do the people that believe in the message get nothing because of this? Nope. If they believe and get born again they do. It doesnt depend on this preacher or that but ONLY,ONLY what God did and says. So this is why hinduism is false. God can not say 2 different things. Either Jehova is God or not. And if he is then hindusim is false because they worship gods,probably demons. This relativistic nonsence is just a demonic tactic. Its ok if its right for you. Lie. There is an objective reality.God is that reality. If you believe water in your gas tank is good and you believe it will work you still are not going anywhere. This book is good.

I have been following Bob Larson now for several years both on his radio show and in his books. "In The Name of Satan" is a factual and accurate introduction into spiritual warfare. He writes from a Biblical AND Christian viewpoint; backing his experiences well with scripture. His theological and practical stance do not depart from the Bible. A recommended followup book would be Dr. Ed Murphy's "The Handbook for Spiritual Warfare"

The book is little more than a casual romp through the imaginings of a man who likes himself far too much. From a theological standpoint, it is a disaster. Mr. Larson claims, among other things, that demons have actually duplicated his physical appearance as well as holding to a Manichaeist worldview in which Christians supposedly can be possessed by demons. When asked about this position, Mr. Larson runs to his Gnostic roots and hides behind his personal revelation. This book is proof that Satanism sells and that many Christian publishers today are concerned more with sensationalism than theological depth.

According to Bob Larson, Satan is behind a massive, worldwide conspiracy of deceit and domination. "In the Name of Satan" is an incredibly narcissistic book in which author Larson depicts himself as the brave hero who is risking his life to take a stand against the Devil. If I were the Devil, I would not waste my energy against an opponent whose best weapon is a sloppy mess like this book.

Throughout "In the Name of Satan," Larson refers to Satanic atrocities and conspiracies, but fails to produce a shred of documentation. One of his more ridiculous claims involves being impersonated by demons. Another relates a close encounter with Satan's horse. Reading his rantings I was reminded of the notorious Senator Joe McCarthy, whose witch hunt for suspected Communists ruined many lives. We can be thankful that Bob Larson does not hold a senate seat, and has to use the writing of laughable books as the outlet for his obsession.

The self-portrait that Bob Larson creates in this book is far more disturbing than the description of any demon. In chapter 12, for example, he describes how he burned a Balinese wooden carving because he believed a demon was "drawing strength from it." I wonder--could book burning be Larson's next strategy?

The overall air of obsessive self-love gives the book an unintentionally humorous quality. Towards the end of the book, for example, he includes an anonymous (first name only) letter from a girl who writes, "Bob Larson is the most special person in the world." I get the sense that Larson really believes that line!

Larson's book is a good documentary example of a certain breed of Christianity: this particular belief system seems to be more fixated on Satan than on Jesus. Perhaps it would be more accurate to refer to Larson's religious tradition as "Satanophobism" rather than Christianity.

This is a book which lacks credibility. It will appeal to naive individuals with low self esteem who want to imagine themselves as courageous soldiers in Larson's anti-Satanic army. For the rest of us, it provides an interesting, if ineptly written, glimpse into the psychology of contemporary religious fanaticism.

Bob Larson is a charlatan and one of the biggest quacks you could ever encounter. His websites say he is "The Real Exorcist." Not hardly. This is a huge insult to the qualified exorcists of the Roman Catholic Church that have saved the lives of many truly possessed by something evil. Old Bob even has a "Demon Test" on his website that you can take for $9.95! He even has "Demon Test" copyrighted. His website asks,"Got demon?" He is shown holding a bible in one hand and a cross in the other like Van Helsing confronting Count Dracula. Even worse is his copyright for "DWJD." This stands for doing what Jesus did. He has this copyrighted? Who does this man think he is? According to Bob he has cast out more demons than Jesus himself ever did. He signs his letter to his website viewers "Doing what Jesus did, Pastor Bob Larson." Such impudence. He is supposedly the worlds foremost authority on cults, the occult,and the paranormal. Say what? The only one who believes that is Bob Larson. There are indeed experts of these fields but they generally are scholars who have a Ph.D. after their name. Oh, by the way, if you feel you need Bob to get rid of a demon you have to somehow schedule an appointment with him in Arizona unless he is coming near your town with his dog and pony show. Or perhaps he will do it over the phone for a price. There are more than one Christian watchdog group that have exposed Bob Larson and his unethical shenanigans. The information is easily found on the Internet including You Tube among many other websites. No church or Christian group with any integrity or with a high standard of accountability endorses Bob Larson. His book "UFOs and the Alien Agenda" which Bob claims he wrote after 20 years of research is one of the most laughingly bad books ever written on the subject. The only thing he is expert at is conning ignorant, gullible people out of money. Be willing to do the research on this clown and you will discover what a dishonest crook Bob Larson is. Old Bob will even teach you to do what Jesus did too at one of his seminars but it will cost you around $499.00. If you want to become a core member of DWJD it will l cost you $4,000.00. If you want to support this screwed up snake oil salesman then be my guest. I wonder what prayers are needed to make you Bob Larson proof?!
