Practice doesn't make perfect,

What people might write in a book about "treatment" and how they actually treat people can be two very different things. The lies we were told, and were told about us, as children can be easily translated into lies that a therapist may tell us, or tell about us. Anything that comes from "therapy" via certain "professionals" who are in business, after all, to make money from other people's suffering, needs to be looked at with a very cautious eye. I highly recommend the Incest Survivors books by Ellen Bass and others who lived through it. Her books saved my life. |
