I love this stuff...I make baked sweet potato fries and use this to season them. RECIPE: slice three sweet potatoes into large strips, toss them in 2T olive oil, bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes, using a spatula turn them and bake another 25 minutes. Mix 1 Teaspoon Togarashi, 1 Teaspoon sugar (or stevia), 1/2 Teaspoon salt. Toss the potatoes in this mixture and voila! We are crazy about them and they are so good for us.

I love, love, love the Nanami Togarashi seasoning. Having moved away from a Yoshinoya restaurant, I missed it so much. I contacted Yoshinoya and asked where I could purchase the seasoning and they directed me to Amazon. I was so thrilled I ordered three! This stuff is great on rice, chow mein, chicken, beef, and more. I liberally sprinkle it on many things I eat. In fact, I sneak it into restaurants in my purse and sprinkle it on my food. I know that must sound insane but that's how much I love this product. The price is right, too. I could go on forever about it but I won't. Just try it!

My grandmother used to travel home to Japan in the 70's and bring this back with her and then we found a grocer in DC that sold S&B products..... They have since closed and I was so happy to find it online. The spice is great on everything! Good memories!

This is the same red little bottle you'll see in Japanese restaurants in Japan and the US, with a key ingredient substituted out. I've always heard it called "shichimi", the alternate pronunciation of seven (nana). There are 7 spices in here. In Japan, the mix contains hemp seed, which has been replaced in the US market with orange peel.

It's great over yakitori skewers, pizza, ramen, or anything you want to add a little dash of flavor too. Spiciness is very very mild.

I grew up on S&B Togarashi and have tried many other togarashi products in an attempt to find an easier source of this wonderful spice. None of the other brands and sources measured up. I now purchase S&B Togarashi in case lots here on Amazon!

I ordered this spice after having dinner at Roy's in Naples, FL. They serve edamame with a version of this spice. This is very good but not exactly what we had. I use this spice now for an assortment of menus and it makes everything taste better. Not very spicy so everyone likes it.

This is a very excellent mildly-fiery addition to just about anything. Sprinkle it over traditional Japanese fare such as udon, omurice, or okonomiyaki - or on such treats as hamburgers, salmon steaks, or BLTs! It gives a wee 'kick' to just about anything savoury.

First, I'm a wimp when it comes to hot peppers. This seasoning is a perfect blend of peppers & other spices. it adds just the right amount of heat. I add it to many of my dishes and it always enhances it. Especially, if my dish turned out a little sweeter than I wanted it. This spice evens it out. Of course, the more you use the hotter it is. Go light, taste & sprinkle more if needed. You can always add but you can't take it out once it's in there. My whole family likes it.
