"What Goes Up..." is installment #16 in the latest reincarnation of Nancy Drew, girl detective. This version updates the popular series by Carolyn Keene, reimagining Nancy Drew and her best friends Bess and George into the 21st Century in graphic novel format.
It was supposed to be a simple balloon ride for the three girls with George's Uncle Bob. A mishap during balloon setup leaves Nancy hanging by her ankles several feet off the ground, a situation that becomes even trickier when an fleeing bank robber hijacks the balloon. He escapes with a million in cash, pursued by the River Heights police and two angry bankers. When bad weather closes in, the police back off, but the two bankers insist on continuing the pursuit into dangerous mountain terrain. Naturally, Nancy and her friends will follow, to find more than one surprise waiting for them on top. "What Goes Up..." is an exciting and entertaining story in which Nancy pits her detective skills and ability to adapt against some ruthless criminals. It is highly recommended to the latest generation of her fans. |
