5.0 out of 5 stars This book was somthing that I couldn't put down!
This book was somthing that I was always in the mood to read. I was solving the mystery right along with Nancy. Just when you think you have figured it out it completely changes. Along with the mystery it add romance, crime, and excitement! This is the best book I have ever read. Once you start you can not put it down! I would recomend this to anyone who loves...

3.0 out of 5 stars Overall not the most horrible read :~{
This is definitely not the best Nancy Drew book I've read (21). The characters are greatly described in the story. It feels as if I've known them. But I wish the story had more action in it like " The ghost of Black wood Hall". I like the book alot. It's very interesting, especially the use of the castle's history. Nancy always keeps me on the edge of my seat. I never tire of reading Nancy Drew Mysteries. My mom and I read them together. We have read 12 so far.

A Kid's Review
This book belonged to my mother,she told me that she read this book when she was my age, 8. I was interested, so I read it. My dad and I read most of it together but some times I read it independently I Im sure I liked it as much as my mom did, and I'm sure you will too.

3.0 out of 5 stars Overall not the most horrible read :~{, December 31, 2011

This is definitely not the best Nancy Drew book I've read (21). The characters are greatly described in the story. It feels as if I've known them. But I wish the story had more action in it like " The ghost of Black wood Hall". As others have said on here, Nancy doesn't play the most heroic role in this mystery.Less dangerous and exciting situations take place. There is only 2 main fatal crisis that need Nancy's fast solutions that weren't really exciting. For example:Her convertible was about to crash in the watery moat but Nancy drove backwards without a problem. Another reason I thought this mystery story was OK Was because the book described briefly history with the castle. I would of liked more history and description of the castle because the way the story describes it made me think of it as "just a secret hideout". But the mystery was very good ( I love the characters in this book)! And the ending is just so sweet. Over all its not a bad read

5.0 out of 5 stars Nancy and Co. solve a mystery involving a castle and a child, June 13, 1999
I liked the Moostone Castle Mystery very much, although it is not the best Nancy Drew book I have read. To me the book seemed to happen very fast and the conflict was out of touch because it happened more in the past than in the present. The fact that the book reads very fast also attributed to the problems listed above. The setting of a castle kept the reader interested. Nancy's stalkers got me confused and I had to wonder: How many times did they eat at the Brass Kettle?

A Kid's Review
I thougt the book was just ok. I found it a little confusing with all of the characters and all the conflicts. I am doing a book report on this book for school and I would have thought It would have been a better and more interesting book. I dont know I would give it 3 stars.

1.0 out of 5 stars What A Dull Book, July 26, 2003
By

Nancy receives a moonstone as a gift from an anonymous person. Mr. Drew enlists Nancy to help him with his latest case. The Bowens, a missionary couple, have recently returned from Africa and have been looking for their granddaughter without success. The girl went to live with her other grandmother in the town of Deep River after the deaths of her parents when she was a baby. However, the grandmother died shortly after that and all trace of the girl has been lost. When the girls arrive in Deep River they see Moonstone Castle in the distance and decide to explore it. This was a very boring book with a dull mystery and almost zero action. The summary in the book suggests that the castle is haunted, but that is never really mentioned in the book itself. Nancy doesn't do any brilliant detective work to find the missing girl, instead she basically stumbles upon her. I'd only recommend getting this book to complete your set.

3.0 out of 5 stars This book was ok, July 6, 2002
A Kid's Review
I have read 15 Nancy Drew books so far and my favorite was: The Clue In The Broken Locket. I'd just thought I'd say that! I was really excited to read this one because of a castle and stuff and in the summary it said it was a little bit spooky. Well it was really boring and there was too much happening at the same time. The castle parts were really boring and so0o0 not exciting. And all they did was eat at that stinkin brass kettle.
But some parts were good?
