This game has a great storyline- we'll start there. Most of the mini games are seek-and-find, and become frustrating because of the short time limit, but after several tries, you memorize where all the items are. The other mini games are pretty fun and quick- such as signing an autograph with the stylus, (allows you to write whatever you want) very short interviews.. But the part where it caught me was the end of the first mystery. You have to guess the culprit, and the give you six people to choose from. Now this was fine, except when you choose, if you guess wrong, you have to start the whole mystery over again. Now this was VERY frustrating because it took me about 45 minutes to complete the mystery- with fresh eyes to each mini game, and considering I am 12 years old.. I have a ton of the Nancy Drew PC games, and those keep me entertained but never frustrating, even though the game itself is challenging. I definitely recommend the PC games over this DS game for kids my age. I recommend this game, but only if you have patience and a LOT of time on your hands!

This is a game of hidden object searches and puzzles.

If you want to play a game similar to the Nancy Drew PC games from Her Interactive, this game is not like that. Those looking for a challenging detective DS game should get "Chronicles of Mystery: Curse of the Ancient Temple" or "Unsolved Crimes", among a few other.

But if you like small fast puzzles and searching for hidden objects you will enjoy this game very much.

Bought this shortly after it came out. Started playing that nite. Completed it in 41/2 hours. It was okay to play if you want to kill time but other than that not so much. Save your money. sorry people.

I'll make the review short and to the point. Clocking in at a little under 4 hours (and that is with putting the game down a couple of times to grab a snack) this one is certainly not challenging. The story is interesting - typical standard ND fare -- but has no pizzaz. The choices you make in terms of interrogation don't seem to have a real effect on the story line or your options (disappointing). The hidden objects are very easy to find - almost painfully so.

I'd like to recommend this for younger girls who like Nancy Drew - it is better than previous Nancy Drew games for the DS. The rating is E10 though -- so parents who go by these ratings I'd probably take a pass. I think an 8 year old would be age appropriate for the difficulty level and gameplay but not sure an 8 year old would be interested.

In the end as my star rating indicates - it was just o.k. I wish I'd bought it used. If you are an adult looking for a shorter seek and find based on a mystery I would recommend Women's Murder Club Games of Passion instead of this one. I'm Kelly's ten year old daugther, and well I finished this in a day and a 1\2!!!!! Yes I loved it but it was ten and up and I kinda have to say a 9 year old could play this. Easy. But the point I guess is some of the ''friends'' say there ''meant'' to be with the the bride or groom so.... a little precation.In all ofthis game I give it a 5 star rating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my daughters love this game! one is 9 and one is 14. They love all the nancy drew games and the way each game is different from the one before!

My 11-year-old daughter found this game too repetitive. She said it was too easy, and you did the same things over and over. In her words, "Not a lot of fun."
