Remember that this perspective is coming from a 37 year old woman. I reviewed the other Nancy Drew game, and I'll review the Hidden Staircase after I master it this weekend. (No challenging feat, I'm not bragging)
I liked this game. It was a bit longer than the last one and if you're familar with the mini-games, they really haven't changed. The story was better, and I have to admit, I had to locate a 'cheat' to figure out how the Grandfather clock worked. For adults, this game is like a cheap novel; you can finish it in a few hours, its fun, requires very little brain-power and it takes your mind off of the real world. I don't have kids, but my neighbor's teen beats us at Halo and everything else. I would image this might bore video game junkies.....

A little better than the first DS game . . .,

This DS game for Nancy Drew was ok. Definitely better thanthe first in length and had a little more substance but not quite HerInteractive quality as of yet. Some of the puzzles were a little redundant, and there a few bugs in the game. I had to restart it twice because towards the end of the game, for example, Nancy got stuck on top of the roof in a corner and COULD NOT GET OUT. She kept walking back and forth like a zombie. I appreciate that there are Nacy Drew games coming out for DS because I like them on the go but there is still some work to be done. I would like HerInteractive to make a DS game, but not if it will affect the quality of the PC games. The rest of you companies keep up the progression.

Another Cute Game for Younger Detectives,

Another fun little adventure game for the younger set. This adventure game is very similar to the first Nancy Drew DS game and while this game has its flaws, the adventure portions are quite good and fun to play.
The look is similar if not identical to the first Nancy Drew DS game and plays like it too. The mini-games are back and can get a little boring after a while. For me, the game was very simple and alot of fun so if you want a fun little game for on the go entertainment for younger gamers this one will be fine. Flawed but easy to play on the go. So - if you liked the first one - you'll like this one too.

I bought this on sale @ target in their "discounted" rack during the week of Christmas. I did not like this DS game at all. The graphics are horrid, and its hard to maneuver around. I found the game very disappointing for the 11 dollars I paid for it. I have played the Nancy Drew games by Her Interactive for the PC and I find them much more enjoyable. Besides being on a bigger screen you are not playing as a 3rd person, you play in 1st person. It was annoying to have to be on the correct "circle" to get into doors or different parts of the room. The worst puzzle was having to move around to different slots to each separate part of the slot for 5 different doors.
There was very little interaction with the characters and the items which I found very disappointing. You are running around in a scavenger hunt for things that I found really unnecessary and the music was reminiscent of an 8bit old school Nintendo game. This company may be trying to cash into the Nancy Drew franchiseNancy Drew: Warnings at Waverly Academy but I will not be purchasing anything from this company in the future and neither should you.

At first, I really enjoyed playing the NANCY DREW: THE MYSTERY OF THE CLUE BENDER SOCIETY. The graphics are nice and the puzzles aren't too difficult to solve, and it's like reading a mystery story but you get to be part of the action. You interact with different characters and there are clues that you read from puzzles that you have to solve. You also get to ride a motorcycle and visit various locations in the town.
However, after playing on and off for a few weeks I started to get bored with the way you have to tap on these "arrow" markers to either enter a room or move to another space or hall. It started to annoy me, especially when you had to get into the elevator and if you didn't angle the character just right, you get placed back outside the elevator. Another thing that bored me was going up and down the multiple levels to solve some of the puzzles and that was due to the constantly having to tap the "arrows" to progress. So I stopped playing. I'll probably go back to it, but then again...It's not a bad game, but it isn't stellar for me.

I Started this game several weeks ago, but have'nt finished it yet. It was hard to get starting because I did'nt understand what I needed to do to get the game going. After 2 weeks of on and off playing I did manage to "get it" and understand a bit better. The game is ok but it takes a bit (at least for me at 43 years old) to figure out what I was supposed to do. I played "Hotel Dusk room 215" Before this one. So it was a difficult transition. The Game is not layed out that great. Give it a try but don't get your hopes up too high.

Great mystery game for DS. Pre-teen daughter loves it, finds it difficult enough but not too hard that she gets frustrated. We hope to see more Nancy Drew mysteries for DS in the future!

The game is fun but at two different places I got "stuck" and had to re-start the game. Once when I got to the dock to talk to Doyle to try to find his cat. I had not gotten the fish in the village so couldn't get the key for the boat and couldn't go anywhere else either. I was stuck in about 3 scenes and couldn't get out. I had to re-start the game. The 2nd time I was on the roof of the lighhouse and got stuck in the corner and couldn't move. I tried and tried but was stuck in that corner. Once again, I had to re-start the game (and for those of you who have played the game, you know that is near the end !!) Very frustrating........... The game is fun and I enjoyed playing it a great deal but it does have some glitches in it, at least mine did.

I DEFINATELY ENJOYED PLAYING THIS VERSION OF NANCY DREW. ALTHOUGH I PERFER THE COMPUTER GAMES. IT IS EASY ENOUGH YOU WON'T GET STUCK AT ONE PART TOO LONG BUT IT'S ALSO A GOOD STORY LINE. I TRHINK MOST OF THE NANCY DREW GAMES AREN'T LONG ENOUGH...
