Book Description

1596933682 978-1596933682 October 2008 2
This newly revised edition of the popular Artech House book, "Nanoelectronics Principles and Devices" provides a current, unified treatment of the research, technology and applications fueling the rapid growth of nanoelectronics. It brings together the solid-state physics, quantum mechanics, biology, and electronics now converging to blaze exciting new trails in the development of nanoscale devices. The second edition features numerous updates, including expanded discussions on nanomaterials, micro and nano cantilevers, and spintronics, as well as hard-to-find coverage of graphene devices and nanophotonics. This comprehensive work provides a solid foundation for the understanding, design, and simulation of nanoelectronic devices. The book brings practitioners up to speed on innovative tools like the atomic force microscope (AFM), scanning tunneling microscope (STM), and scanning near optical field microscope (SNOM), and the techniques used to deploy them.
