I live in Montana, land of the cold feet. I do a lot of work at the computer and wanted something to warm my cold tootsies while I typed. This is a very plush, soothing, warmer. There are a couple one star reviews that I feel are way too critical. If they want to warm their feet quickly, then go put hot water in your bathtub and plunge your feet in that. This product keeps my stocking feet very cozy. There is a 20 minute auto-shutoff that I didn't expect. Ok fine, I reach down and turn it back on...but nice to have the shutoff when I get up and have to attend to something else and I don't have to worry about the product running and running. There's massage...or heat and massage. No high/low, although the massager is more vigorous w/o the heat. (So the Amazon write-up is wrong, it states "Separate power and heat buttons let you choose massage with heat together or by themselves", WRONG, there is no heat by itself, there's massage, or heat & massage.) So I sit down with rather cold Montana feet, and in a half hour I have a smile...anything warmer would be uncomfortable. Maybe an initial 'hot' setting would be nice, but I'm quite satisfied for the $29.99 spent.

Edit: Now that I have owned this item for a few days...when it does an auto-shutoff, I've gotten really good at turning it back on with my big toe :o) Also: This product is for the average person, not for someone that suffers from a medical condition. IMO, if it was any warmer (with socks on) my feet would be sweating (and I live in Montana with the thermostat set at 62).

This was a gift for my husband's elderly grandmother and she loves it. It's soft, warm and comforting. Great buy!

This is pretty good, not great. If you want a deep foot massage, this really just vibrates. Definitely good enough and keeps my feet toasty warm!

The description stated that you can use it as a warmer without the massager. This was not true. However, the return process was very efficient.

Could be improved by permitting warmer to operate independent of massager.
Easy to set up and put away when not in use.

I always have cold feet, I thought this would be perfect for me. The problem is that it doesn't get warm to even notice a difference and the only time that the heat even goes on is when the massage button is pressed. I don't always want a massage so that's annoying. If you are interested in a fuzzy massager for your feet I guess you may like it. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend this.

As others have stated (And Amazon really should have FIXED by now) the heat only works when it is vibrating.
It's not really all that warm when it does work, in fact I'm not sure it's much warmer than just sticking your feet in it.
That being said - it is very nice to just use even not turned on. I just automatically put my bare feet into it when I sit at the computer and it's quite nice. But I'm not much for vibration on my feet so when I want them warm I use this item also from Amazon.

I use above linked item with a timer as it does not have one built in. I don't trust myself to remember to unplug it.
This is the timer. It works great for all kind of things. I have it plugged into a strip on the computer desktop to make it easy to turn the heater on. http://smile.amazon.com/Woods-Import-Digital-Countdown-Timer/dp/B001DD7YSE/ref=sr_1_2?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1412096649&sr=1-2&keywords=simple+touch+timer

I like the product, it is what I was looking for. Will recommend it. I personally would like a more robust vibration, but that is just me. For most people I think it would fit their expectations.

For the price not sure what I expected but it's okay. Ended up buying something else since this purchase to do what I thought this would do.
