4 Stars, it does NOT deserve 1 star
on January 4, 2013
I live in Montana, land of the cold feet. I do a lot of work at the computer and wanted something to warm my cold tootsies while I typed. This is a very plush, soothing, warmer. There are a couple one star reviews that I feel are way too critical. If they want to warm their feet quickly, then go put hot water in your bathtub and plunge your feet in that. This product keeps my stocking feet very cozy. There is a 20 minute auto-shutoff that I didn't expect. Ok fine, I reach down and turn it back on...but nice to have the shutoff when I get up and have to attend to something else and I don't have to worry about the product running and running. There's massage...or heat and massage. No high/low, although the massager is more vigorous w/o the heat. (So the Amazon write-up is wrong, it states "Separate power and heat buttons let you choose massage with heat together or by themselves", WRONG, there is no heat by itself, there's massage, or heat & massage.) So I sit down with rather cold Montana feet, and in a half hour I have a smile...anything warmer would be uncomfortable. Maybe an initial 'hot' setting would be nice, but I'm quite satisfied for the $29.99 spent.
Edit: Now that I have owned this item for a few days...when it does an auto-shutoff, I've gotten really good at turning it back on with my big toe :o) Also: This product is for the average person, not for someone that suffers from a medical condition. IMO, if it was any warmer (with socks on) my feet would be sweating (and I live in Montana with the thermostat set at 62).
