This wine kit is super cheap. The wine opener is terrible and hurts my hands (ALOT), the felt drip catcher is straight from JoAnne's scrap table, and the foil cutter is made from flimsy plastic, though it works ok even though it feels like it's on the brink of snapping in two every time. Even the stopper is super light and cheap. I recommend you go to a store and get a nice one that feels good in your hands that's made of heavy, solid metal.

The handle of the wine opener is hollow and so the edges of it dig into your hands when pull up. It's extremely painful. That alone should convince you to look elsewhere!

the tools are handy and easy to use but the finishing is not that good neither ergonomic, the foil cutter and stopper are made of a weak plastic material which might broke while using them. the best thing is the corkscrew which is stainless steel.

I received this set as a gift years ago, when I first moved to California, but have only recently begun to appreciate it fully. While I have little use for a drip collar, the remaining items are -- though quite simple -- extremely serviceable and handy. I prefer the using the blade on the corkscrew to cut capsules vs. the actual foil cutter, but the latter works quite flawlessly if you prefer a "safer" method. The stopper is perfect for use with an inert gas for preservation, and the waiter's corkscrew (with its aforementioned blade for cutting foil) is simple perfection for pulling corks -- way better than the very common wing-type corkscrew (which tends to mangle corks, in my experience).
