Great, but some problems, February 14, 2011
This review is from: Napoleon's German Allies (1) : Westfalia and Kleve-Berg (Men-At-Arms Series, 44) (Paperback)
Overall, it is a very good book for those looking for uniform details, order of battle, and a brief campaign history. One error is that the 1st edition 1975 text was not updated completely with the 1992 edition with its new color plates. The 1992 text therefore notes for "Fusilier-Garde, see color plate" for more details and it is not there. The same is true for the Husaren-Garde". For organization you must look at Osprey books on the French since this army copied their doctrine. The 1809 campaign also references the Brunwicker book for details.

If either of these two armies interests you, this book is a must have. The color plates are excellent, and so are the army and uniform descriptions. A must have for wargamers and enthusiasts alike.
