If you paint military miniatures from the Napoleonic era...you can't do without this book! This series is my FAVORITE reference. I consider the "Guard" book the best of this series. This book has a lot of color photos of reenactors from the 4th and 5th Hussars. DPS

The photos of the reenactors in this book make you realize what all other artist renderings were trying to achieve in other books. It stirs the imagination.
The units covered are a bit limited and quite sanitized, but this book is invaluable in providing a frame of reference for all of your other Napoleanic books (I know you own others)

This series of books is a nice one for anyone interested in the uniforms of the Napoleonic wars. Instead of color plates, you get actual uniforms being worn by live people. Pages and photos are both of high quality.
