I am 100% satisfied with this set. A "greatist hits" if you will of some of the best known jazz artists. The songs are just as the title says....smooth. Only two vocals on the entire set, so if you like the easy instrumental jazz, go to your music store and grab this set.

SMOOTH!, June 8, 2005
This review is from: Narada Smooth Jazz (Audio CD)
I am one who definately does not like much in the way of jazz generally speaking. But this collection is different and I really enjoy it. Many many talented artists, many of whom I've never heard before but got the opportunity to do so with this collection. My absolute favorite track is Bradley Joseph's "Blue Rock Road". It is just plain fun, upbeat, and a little jazzy. He is an excellent pianist/keyboardist and more of his albums I'll definately have in the near future!

It's not Jazz,...it's Smooth Jazz,....as the title says, November 30, 2003
This review is from: Narada Smooth Jazz (Audio CD)
Don't buy this thinking it is Jazz. It is Smooth Jazz albeit more the high side of it. Bordering New Age a little bit, but definitely not New Age. It is to be classified as Smooth Jazz.
But I give it Five Stars because I like both New Age and Smooth Jazz. I do not like comtemporary Jazz nor do I have a like for Blues. Some reviewer called it elevator music. While I don't have a severe dislike of elevator music, I would not buy elevator music and this Narada Smooth Jazz is NOT elevator music. My favorite selections from Disc one are tracks 7,9,10,11,13, and 14, to be honest.
What is interesting is that Smooth Jazz is a sound that is different from Jazz. And Jazz lovers typically do not like Smooth Jazz and the reverse can be true. To each their own.
