"Nas is Like" is the best track off of I Am and is one of Nas' best songs ever. It's good enough to compare to most of the songs off Illmatic. DJ Premier drops one of his best beats ever for this track and Nas' flow is flawless here. Sadly, the rest of I Am couldn't be this good. I give the CD-Single 4 stars because of the weak B-Side track "Dr. Knockboot". That was one of the worst songs off of the I Am LP. The production is just plain annoying. If "NY State of Mind Pt. 2" would've been the B-side then this cd-single would have been perfect. Anyway, props to Nas for "Nas is Like". Hopefully he'll work with Premo on several songs for his Street's Disciple album.

"Nas Is Like" showcases Nas at his best as he drops some nice lyrics over a great beat by the one and only DJ Premier. This should please those who want an Illmatic Nas. Sadly, the b-side "Dr. Knockboots" isn't nearly as good as Nas drops some okay lyrics over a tired beat by Trackmasters. Overall, Nas and Primo save the day.

If you are an illmatic-era nas fan, save yourself some time, money, and listening dissapointment-buy this instead of the "I am" LP. These singles are by far the best offerings, and mnay of the tracks on "I am" will merely make you lament the loss of potential and the dark side of hip-hop.

I can't understand how Nas can produce something this amazing and then also some of the naff tracks on the album. Another review said it was going back to Illmatic and that that was a bad thing. No way Illmatic is a stunning album. Nas and Premier seem to work well together, cause obviously the beats from Premier are hot but Nas lyrics are pretty strong on this one as well. Anyway 5 stars, nuff said!

Nas is more than half man half amazing. He makes it look, or should I say "sound," so easy. This brotha has SKEELZ! "Nas is like" is the illest song off of his new release "I Am." I just might have to buy this single a few more times so I can have it in my car, my stereo, and my discman at the same time, because I won't be puttin' any other CD in them for a long time.

Nas is like half man half amazing, I must give him props for being one of the hottest rappers out there! Keep making those hits baby, you are pure talent in all forms.

NAS BREAKS IT DOWN INTO A MATHEMATICAL AND SCIENTIFICAL POINT OF VIEW SO THERE CAN BE NO DISPUTE. AFTER LISTENING TO THE BOOTLEG VERSION A FRIEND BOUGHT I, WHO AM NOT TOO HOT ABOUT HARD CORE RAP AND DISSED ANY THING WITH TOO MUCH PROFANITY DECIDED THAT I HAD TO COP IT WHEN IT CAME OUT IN EARLY APRIL, "HATE ME NOW", AND"PAPA WAS A PLAYA" ARE TWO FAVORITES,

Nas is and always has been a true lyrical genius. This single marks his return to his older style of raps. If you loved Illmatic and you thought It Was Written could have been better, you will love this single.
