A bit expensive for what you get..., October 25, 2009
I've had this rig for about a month now and use it about once a day. Like many, I have allergies and this rig does help...
however, the bottle is thin plastic, and basically, has a top that resembles a dish detergent top.
(In fact, I don't see any difference)
My main gripe about this rig, is that the pop top, pops closed sometimes while you are irrigating even under slight pressure.
(In other words, if you put too much pressure while trying to seal the bottle against your nostril, the cap may close on you).
The marketing pitch claims you don't have to tilt your head. This is bunk if you want to be able to use all of the solution in the bottle.
You will still need to tilt your head. (Frankly, this is no big deal)
As far as cost, for what you get, 20 bucks is too much. In fact, it's a rip off for what is essentially a dish detergent bottle.
Don't buy the packet/refills... they are a ripoff too!
Instead, here is how to save some $$$ on the "solution"
Mix your own (this will fit into the bottle as the bottle I have is 8 ounces or 1 cup)
1 cup water
1/2 tsp Sea Salt
1/2 tsp Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda)

Better than Netti, June 27, 2009
After a few unsuccessful attempts with the traditional netti pot I had given up on nasal irrigation. It caused pain and headaches. However, post-nasal drip that didn't respond to anything the docs have me made me want to try again. After seeing a video showing a chid using this product I decided to give it a go.
What an amazing difference this product has made. I am not sure if it is because I can stand up straight using it, or due to the design of the bottle, but I experience no sinus pain or pressure as with the traditional netti pot. After four days I could breathe easier, sleep more soundly because the post nasal drip does not wake me up any longer. For the first four days/nights the post nasal drip was there, but more of a saline drip.
I now use it every morning, after I brush my teeth. However, I do not use the packets that came with it any longer, as they sting. I use a pharmaceutical grade salt which is very fine and don't feel a thing.
Overall I believe, Nasopure is a great price for a great product.

Better than neti!, May 14, 2009
I am a physician, but MORE important - I am a chronic allergy and runny nose person. My whole life. Had sinus surgery, took antihistamines daily, got infections, lost time at work - the whole thing. I started using a generic nose wash system that really helped immensely (less symptoms, less need for meds), but then I found Nasopure and I haven't used anything else since that day. I carry the Little Squirt with me when I travel and I swear it's kept me from getting sick more than once. The bottle is intuitively easy to use, the mix is the best one I've found, and I rank Nasopure right up there with my toothbrush for The Things That Help Me Feel Human Every Morning.
