Amazing.

This fork looks great, rides great, and is light weight!

About 2 to 2.1 lbs according to my kitchen scale with the uncut steer tube.

The steer tube is aluminum, Yes! (I was afraid it would be heavy steel or brittle carbon).

Bosses are included for V brakes and disk brakes, and also a hole for center pivot cantilevers.

The geometry was pretty close to my old Rock Shox Judy XC (cross country suspension fork).

I dig it. Pleasantly surprised with how well this worked out.

I have an older mountain bike that came with a low end suspension fork. Since I ride mostly on fairly smooth trails and bike paths, I decided to convert to a rigid fork. This fork turned out to be a superb choice. It's well built, relatively light (much lighter than the suspension fork), beautifully shaped, nice carbon weave showing through the gel coat, all in all a looker. I was concerned with the bike geometry getting altered substantially with the rigid fork, but this fork's crown is fairly tall, I didn't notice any substantial changes both in look and in riding. Fork is robust and rigid, it really transformed the bike, it now steers like a road bike with sharp response and precision. Comfort isn't compromised, road buzz to the handle bars aren't worse than the suspension fork. It takes a bit more work to hop a log but the fork seems to take reasonable impact fairly well. So, my bike lost a lot of weight, looks better, rides better, steers better, I can't be more happier with this choice. The only gripe I have is that it has both cantilever brake boss and disc brake tabs, sort of redundant, wish I could remove the tabs (I am using rim brakes now). But maybe later I would convert to disc brakes, by then I would wish I could remove the cantilever boss. :p

I like this fork. It's lightweight (2lbs) and has posts for V-brakes and tabs for disk brakes. However, if you are replacing a 100mm front shock with this fork the geometry of your front-end will be changed. It will be a bit LOWER. This is NOT a "suspension adjusted" fork. This wasn't too much of a problem for me but it did lower the front end (and hence the handlebars) relative to the seat by about 25- 50 mm depending on where you cut the steerer tube. Have some spacers on hand and CAREFULLY measure where to cut it taking into account the "lost" 100mm of fork height.

Great fork for the price. Handles nicely. Appear strong so far. Still appears strong. Still handles nicely. The wheel fits.
