I found this book to be inrormative and well researched. However, I did not find anything new or revealing in it. that is not to say that there is not a fund of information in this book. However, I have been researchhing this topic for quite some time, so my view would not be the view of a person who had no previous knowledge of this subject. I think someone venturing into the story of Nat Turner would find it quit intriquing.
