3.0 out of 5 stars Aguante Argentina!!!
I have listened to this album many times. I happen to own it as well, but never the less, I don't believe that it deserves any more than 3 stars at its best. Most songs are good, "Uruguay" happens to be one of them, and so is "Valor". Natalia did a good job picking song writers, but she still has a lot of work to accomplish on her voice. With more work, i can see this...

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST LATIN ALBUM EVER!, January 7, 2000

Natalia is just 22 years old and has become in a few years in the most important actress/singer of Argentina and Uruguay. She has conquer the world with her personality and talent, and she proves once again why people love her and why she has so many fans. The album has 12 songs that take two clear directions, the latin feel or the ballads. The highlights of the cd are 'DE TU AMOR', that mixes both things sweet lyrics and latin flavour with some background guitars. 'ME MUERO DE AMOR', which is an excellent ballad that will not only love children or teens also adults love this track, because it is very touching, just as 'VENGO DEL MAR', in which people won't find themselves into the song because it has sweet but not common lyrics that she sings so deeply, sweetly and loving...-'VENGO DEL MAR', means 'i come from the sea'-. My favourite track is far away 'HURACAN', because of it's vibe and energy, i can't stop dancing to it, and i love when Natalia performs it.Last but not least there is 'QUE SI, QUE SI', that is the principal song of the soundtrack to her debut-film 'UN ARGENTINO EN NUEVA YORK'mixes spanish/english and a reagge/carnival wave thet makes it lovely and enjoyable. Believe me Natalia is definitely here to stay, because everything she touches becomes gold, not only her soap operas, all her songs are massive hits in all Latin America, and will be sure be classic tomorrow!. The booklet of the album is also very good, it's art work is excellent and Natalia is so beautiful in the pictures -she always is-. Her talent and no-shynnes personality get her to top, and now nothing will stop her. p.s. pay atenttion to the talented musicians that play in her album and the background arrengements.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Stunning Debut!, May 24, 2000
This review is from: Natalia Oreiro (Audio CD)
Listening to this beautifully engineered and crafted album is a pure pleasure over the headphones...I know little to nothing about Natalia, except from the few commments I read here...however I found my way to this CD as I saw her videos on HTV...Natalia displays latina spunk...indeed she is beautiful as they come...but her voice that soars with sudden sultriness over exquisite Spanish guitars just overcomes you from the opening track,"De Tu Amor"...of which I may say, this track alone is worth the price of admission to the album...i have yet to tire of it..."another memorable track is "Me muero de Amor" which is the softer side of Natalia as a pure balladeer....however her spunk overtakes again on the delicioous track "Cambio dolor"...which recaptures the magic of the opening track in a different way....Natalia is at her best when she immerses herself in swaying tropic rythms...and the album is full of sultry latin rythms which will linger with you long after the album has spun it's course...gracias Natalia...tu musica es tan hermosa como tu...

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply beautiful, November 7, 2000
This review is from: Natalia Oreiro (Audio CD)
What an album what an album, I am so fortunate I was able to come across it. The lyrics the backround music, the little bit of Salsa taste to it, and Natalia combine to make this one of the best latin albums i have, and have listened to (and I have and have listened to many many). She is extremely beautiful (what beautiful eyes and smile), all the songs were a pleasure my favorites (i liked them all) were "Me muero de amor" "De tu amor" , "cambio dolor", "Que si, que si". Such a good album I recommend to anyone who is in search of good latin music. I am surprissed I havent seen this artist on the entertainment spanish tv show on KMEX. With all due respect to these wonderful artists I think she is as good if not better than the more publisized artists Paulina Rubio, Noelia, Shakira and Thalia. Dont believe me then buy the album.... you will not be dissapointed. Mucha suerte Natalia tu musica y tu bellaza son lo que tanto me llamo la attencion mucha suerte en tu carrera que dios te bendiga y espero con anticipacion ver tus futuro exitos.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great upbeat music, June 12, 2000

I happened to come across Natalia's CD at my local library and then coincidentally was watching Muneca Brava and realized they were one and the same person. Wow what a singer! She has charisma and an infectious joy for life that is transmitted in her music and consequently all her listeners. Natalia Oreiro's album is a definite must-have for a light-hearted carefree spirit! By the way, for the first time there's a soap opera that doesn't take itself too seriously and that's what makes Muneca Brava fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good, good, good., April 9, 2003
This review is from: Natalia Oreiro (Audio CD)
This is Natalia's first album. It all happened with the success of the soap opera that she was acting in Argentina.
The theme song was "Cambio dolor" (I trade love) and thanks to the soap opera she could open the doors that she needed to be known around the world.
The album was a hit in Latin America, Spain and in countries like Russia, Greece and Japon.
Natalia's voice is not strong or beautiful but she sings really good and her latin rhythms make this album warm and talented.
It has hits like: "Me muero de amor" which is a lovely love song, "Que si, que si" a very good song to dance and other soft and dance songs like: "Sabrosito y dulzon", "Huracan" and "Vengo del mar".

4.0 out of 5 stars An AMAZING debut!!!, May 23, 2002
By
Stassa (Amfilochia, Greece) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Natalia Oreiro (Audio CD)
Natalia Oreiro's first album is one of the best latin CDs I've ever listened to! All the songs here are so nice, better than anyone would expect from a newcomer like Natalia! This album, has really great songs, my personal favourite is "Vengo Del Mar" but I do listen to it as a whole album, without skipping tracks! If you like GOOD and tasteful Latin music, then you MUST buy this album!! It's so good, I could hardly believe it's a debut album! After buying this, you should buy Natalia's follow-up "Tu Veneno" which is MUCH different from this one, but it showcases better Natalia's talent. But, really, her debut album is a must-have! After buying it, you won't be able to stop listening to it! Way to go, Natalia!!

Hope this review helped you!
