Editorial Reviews

In the United Kingdom, New Zealand-born Natasha Bedingfield and brother Daniel Bedingfield have seemingly taken up permanent residence at the top of the pop charts. He's an earnest rocker with a dance music bent. She's an altogether more exciting prospect--a singer-songwriter who refuses to sit still, charging through decadent R&B ("Single"), jittery electro-pop ("I'm A Bomb") and first-class balladry ("I Bruise Easily"), invoking the likes of Beyonce and Gwen Stefani. And, okay, sometimes Nelly Furtado. An all-star production team, including former Robbie Williams collaborator Guy Chambers, makes for a debut that sounds like an instant greatest-hits set--just add cheekbones. --Aidin Vaziri

Product Description

Musical artist Natasha Bedingfield has expeditiously become the biggest breakout female star all around the world. The gorgeous and multi-talented singer/songwriter's self-penned debut album, Unwritten, has already spawned #1 hit singles in many countries and continents. 2004 was a whirlwind year for Natasha, closing with three coveted Brit nominations in the categories of British Female Solo Artist, British Breakthrough Artist and Pop Act. The U.K. release of Unwritten in September 2004 landed at #1, and by the second week it was platinum (it is now triple platinum). The album has now sold over 1.3 million worldwide. The infectiously funky song 'These Words' is the first U.S. single release, having already hit #1 in a dozen countries including the U.K., Ireland, Holland, Japan, Austria, Africa, France and New Zealand and Top 5 in another 20. The first side of this Dual Disc contains a full audio album. The DVD side provides the same album in enhanced sound (such as 5.1 Surround Sound), along with such multimedia features as music videos, documentary footage, photo galleries, web links, and other enhanced content. Epic. 2005.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wicked Coolness known as Natasha!!, January 9, 2006
This review is from: Natasha Bedingfield: Unwritten (Audio CD)
I was actually in the midst of folding four loads of laundry, when Natasha Bedingifelds album started playing on my pc, and I got so lost in it again, I had to drop what I was doing and give this girl some props. This is an amazing cd, with music so catchy, so cool and simply a pleasure to listen to that I'm a total fan for life.

I guess to compare her to other similar artists, which they probably don't like to have done to them, Id say she reminds me of Fiona Apple, Joss Stone , Alanis Morisette and of course her own core, but to be a good reviewer I like to draw comparisons at times.

"These Words" is one of the best songs I've heard, ever. It makes you want to get up and dance, and it comes in some great remixes that have their own CD available for sale here.

"Size Matters" is another song that will make you tap your foot under your desk at work, or make you skip a step in your walk, you might even sing along.

"Wild Horses" a sweet ballad but no cavities here, its sweet but it's secretly has a killer tunes that sound like it was created by a seasoned music aficionado.
Natasha has an earthy voice but she's slick, her music is not stuff, boring but is cool to the point that you are not embarrassed to listen to it in front of your friends. The choruses in her songs are great and have a real purpose. She's not the kind of girl who wants to be famous so she can do photo shoots and have makeovers. She has talent and she wants the world to be her outlet. She also writes her own songs, and she has so much to say!

I love it, and you will too! Branch out, listen to different artists, take a chance, you might be pleasantly surprised.

this cd is fantastic! I highly reccomend it to any one. Natasha's voice is incredibly unique, and I can't get enough of it.

"Unwritten" is definitely a highlight, with a beautiful video to boot.

"Wild Horses" is nothing short of brilliant!

"I Bruise Easily" is a soft song, and her vocals become so gentle and delicate.

don't hestitate to go and pick this cd up, its definitely worth it :)

1.0 out of 5 stars Infected with a virus!!!!, November 10, 2005

Sony's DRM (Digital Rights Management) copy protection software is installed upon insertion of this "audio" cd into your computer. The software is malicious and can ruin your pc to the point of having to format and reinstall everything. This software also sends information about your pc to a Sony server. Do you want Sony to have ALL your information? The so called "patch" that Sony makes available to fix this software does nothing! The software also allows for virus, spyware, and other malicious programs to hide themselves and operate without detection. Currently there are no virus scanners (Norton, Mcafee, etc.) that can detect this software or the viruses it can help hide. The same goes for spyware.
