I purchased these a while back for my son who is a young adult with ADD and loves to be moving things around with his hands. I fell in love with them...I have had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands and found these balls to be soothing, relaxing, and challenging! Kind of like a nice meditation. I don't care about the chimes either way but they are a very mellow and light sound, its not going to bother you. I love the feel of them in my hands and would most definitely recommend the chrome ones or the otherwise plain colored ones. We bought both the chrome and the ying yang and I didn't care for the very light feeling of the design edges on my hands of the ying yang design. They weren't bad though at all....I just preferred the smoothness and coolness of the chrome. These are a MUST! I can tell you that you will be mesmerised and delighted.

5.0 out of 5 stars I HAVE MANY OF THESE BALLS, AND THEY'RE AWESOME !!!!!!, February 29, 2008
Yes, I have Chinese Balls in 'Sun and Moon', 'Chrome', 'Orange/Blue Crazy', and now, 'Rainbow'.

I had neck surgery, so the only thing keeping my hand nimble and quick isn't "Jack and His Candlestick." No, it's my Chinese Balls. I use them daily, roll them about in my hands, and they stimulate pressure points on my palms, actually HELPING my neck HEAL.

I'm not kidding.

Half of the "eastern" remedies I told my surgeon about baffled him, and THEY ALL ARE WORKING.

Huh...

Mike
