I purchased three of these for me and my friends to go running at night. It only fit when we ran in the winter with coats on. When I attempted to wear it in the summer over just a t-shirt, the "adjustability" feature on it really came up short. If I cinched the sides down enough to hug me so that it wasn't flopping around, then the extra flaps of velcro were banging along. If I fixed it so that the velcro wasn't driving me crazy, then it was so loose that it would literally spin halfway around me with every step. After only a few months of use (and I'm NOT hard on stuff like this), the piping around the edges began to pull away. The seams are tiny and grabbing onto mesh, so it isn't surprising...just annoying. I finally bit the bullet and went to my local running store and bought an amphipod brand xinglet, and am MUCH happier. Totally adjustable, very durable and about the same cost as this Nathan vest.

This is not a reflective shirt, so I am not looking for something to hang down to my waist. I am 6 foot tall and 180lbs and the L/XL is perfect. The length takes the bottom of the vest to about an inch below my last rib. This vest is adjustable enough for me to wear over a t-shirt or three layers of clothing and when running it does not jostle or move. I don't want to even notice it, and that is the ultimate effect. Other than the reflective material, the main part of the vest is a lightweight mesh fabric. The reflective properties are beyond excellent and very bright when car headlights hit the material.

If you want minimalist, effective safety reflection combined with the least noticeable vest that will also stay snug on you then this is your product. If you want a full shirt-like coverage, a loose baggy vest, need a bunch of pockets, or are looking for daytime and nighttime attention then it may not be what you are looking for.

I love this vest! I'm a runner and go on night runs with groups around my city every week. This vest is really light-weight and very visible. There are several people - men and women - in my groups that have this vest and recommend it. I noticed a lot of people say the vest was too short, but that's how it was designed. It's supposed to fit just at the ribcage. I'm 5'5" and about 150lbs - "C" cup for all of you women. I ordered the small/medium. It's bigger than I expected according to the reviews that say it's like a sports bra. I have more than enough room to wear my boyfriend's large winter biking jacket (shell that cuts the wind). However, it's not so large that it gets in the way. I'm looking forward to more runs with this jacket.

This is bright but it is small - ok for nights but not so noticeable during the day - hard to tell from the picture just how tiny this little guy is... I returned mine. if you are small bodied then this would be good.

This was a nice attempt at safety with design but it's too small. I was hoping the bottom would reach down to my waist but the large/Xtra large didn't reach halfway there. So this one went back.

The Amphipod Xinglet is more what I had in mind.

I am 6'2" 160lbs. and the L/XL size fits well. The vest is not supposed to hang down to your waist like others, which is great. It is the best running reflective vest I have used. There is no movement and adjustable enough as I add layers as winter approaches. Only reason I did not rate it 5 stars is that the velcro straps occasionally catch on my gloves during arm swing, but a quick adjustment solves that. Bottom line, I will be buying another when the time comes.

I was surprised the handful of less than positive reviews of this product. It does exactly what it is designed to do. It is super lightweight, well made, fits nicely over jackets, and offers superior visibility without bulk. You don't even know you are wearing it, it's so light. The mesh fabric seems pretty durable, but the whole point of this product is to provide a super lightweight, comfortable, high-visibility vest, not to be a rough and tumble product. Terrific product that satisfied all of my expectations for a night/low-light running vest.

Nathan Streak Reflective VestI recently bought this product thinking it was a nice looking design and well made but when I received the product it was cheaply made very thin. When I put it on it comes halfway down to my chest. Probably a child of 7 yrs. maybe able to wear this. The material is so thin that when you wear it it tends to roll up as you move. It was a waste of my money and will end up throwing it away because it's worthless.
