Good product, but beware... January 23, 2009

This is a really good product, but beware....I have a 32" waist and I have the belt fully extended...still snug! Also, the water bottle tops need to be pushed in VERY TIGHTLY or you will be soaked. The pocket is just the right size. I like the product a lot; I'm just not sure that anyone with a bigger waist will find it comfortable.

I'm training for a marathon, and this is my 3rd attempt at a hydration belt. I have tried others, inluding the Nathan triangle-shaped single bottle belt. This belt has the perfect-sized pocket for storing my cell phone, keys, and iPod. It doesn't bounce uncomfortably, and the bottles are easy to take out and put back in. Highly recommend it!

above expectations August 17, 2009

I have used this for several long runs now (+15 miles)

Before, I have used a Mountain Smith waist pack, but it was clumsy and akward. It was made more for the camper/hiker not for the runner

The Nathan Trail mix as minimal bounce and stays put when worn low on my waist. It has a thiner profile, compared to the MS waist pack.

The bottle nozzles are a soft rubber-y material, and are comfortable to operate by mouth.

The bottles have never fallen out. The zippered pocket holds my 6oz flask of energy gel plus a power bar (small size).

Mesh pocket holds a blinkie-light (my long runs start in the dark) and 1/2 of an additional power bar.

I love the 2 bungie cords on the sides (genious). One side holds my ipod (very secure when encased in a zip-lock baggie). The other side holds a hankerchief (or could hold gloves or arm-warmers or extra socks).

I think the two 10oz flasks provide enough water for running up to 3 hours. I have ran out of water before when going over 3 hours. So a runner should plan on refilling them at a water fountain or water station(when racing).

I very glad i took my time in reviewing many hydration belts. I'm confident i choose the best for my needs.

one note: on my first run with it, while reaching in the zippered pocket, I hit the bottle nozzle with the buttons on my watch and it stopped my timer. So, be aware of that.

Serves its purpose

Awesome belt!
I've always been a fan of Nathan belts, but I had to replace my last one because it's too big. I love that this one is adjustable. The clip closure is also stronger than Velcro. Read more

Nice belt. Leaky cap, no service from Nathan
I have been using the belt all Winter and now into the Spring at a rate of 3-4 times a week on my runs. As long as you keep it cinched, bouncing and jiggling is pretty minimal. Read more

Very comfortable
The pack is a nice size. Not too large and has just enough water to get you through a run. The bottles are somewhat tricky (hence the 4 star rating). Read more
