Perfect for kids!
My 8-year-old son was so fascinated by this book. It has the animals' pictures and their information on facing pages, so you don't have to flip back and forth between pictures/information as with many field guides. My son read this book until it fell apart, and I ended up buying him several others in the series.

Good pocket guide for amateurs and kids
Great pictures, good information on recognition and range. Fits in a pocket. Great for kids to hold, flip through and carry in the house or outdoors. Great fun.
