I bought these hoping they would work as an inexpensive alternative to whiteboards on a permanent basis. And they do! I have four of them up in my apartment, they've been up for weeks, and they work extremely well! With good, new pens there's no appreciable ghosting effect (no more than a normal whiteboard), but do be careful with the pen selection: A pen that will ghost badly on a normal whiteboard is effectively a permanent marker on these. Still, can't blame the whiteboard for bad pens, so I give this five stars easily.

If you are doing a quick meeting in a room that has no white board this will work. But if you want to use this in your office for brainstorming over a couple of weeks these will fall off the wall in a couple of days.

When you need a whiteboard surface and can't bring a whiteboard.

Pro: They cling very well to most walls. Easy to write on. Reasonable to erase. Reusable.

Cons: Tricky to handle; like plastic wrap they cling to themselves ferociously. Way too expensive or I'd use them more often.

I use this product daily teaching 5th grade. I print out vocabulary words, diagrams, math pictures, etc. Paper sticks to the film without adhesives. It's a big time saver. I also used it instead of whiteboard when I worked in schools that had chalk boards.

AMAZINGLY fast delivery--product shipped the same day I purchased it. These sheets are surprisingly thin, but they do indeed cling to just about anything. I've found that they're best on glass or smooth walls. They'll cling to carpet-covered cubicle walls, but then the texture of the wall impedes smooth writing. Depending on the static in the air, written words will either smudge very easily or will require a little more effort to erase. I noted that on the days that things didn't erase as thoroughly as I'd like, a Pledge "all purpose cleaning wipe" took everything off the sheets. My co-workers love these and are thrilled that we have them.

I purchased this item to use in my medical school training. I study overseas, and am limited by weight and size in what I can bring to school. The cling whiteboard idea appealed to me and I was excited to learn that it fit easily into my suitcase. It arrived via UPS and the box was crushed, but the contests were just fine, albeit a bit creased in spots. My traveling did not improve the creases on the roll, but the sheets stuck to the wall very well. I am currently using "EXPO" brand dry-erase markers and I have found that they are difficult to completely erase. I have not yet tried using water to clean off the sheet. I'd highly recommend this for anyone that needs a light-weight convenient whiteboard but isn't too worried about the product suffering from what may be a 1 time use. (There are 35 sheets per package!)

I'm sitting here with my last remaining scraps of an old Avery brand dry erase sheet product I purchased years ago and this product that I ordered recently. One expo marker. I can easily erase the marker from the ancient Avery sheet, hardly any comes off of the new sheet. I've tried expo cleaner, alcohol, acetone, vinegar, windex, 409, water and lots of elbow grease. What good is a dry erase surface that doesn't erase?

I bought this product to create decorations for my classroom for Vacation Bible School. These sheets worked great!!! They stayed up on the room walls (painted smooth drywall) for a two week period. They were easy to write and color on with "Sharpie" and "Expo" low odor markers. Although I did not try to reuse the sheets marked with "Expos", I did have to erase and correct drawing mistakes and most of the color came off. To correct mistakes, I just used tissues or paper towels to wipe off. I think if I used the regular Expo cleaner, all of the color would have come off. When arranging the sheets on the walls, occasionally I would peel one off and put it in a different location and the sheets continued to work very well, even with wrinkles in the sheets. One 27X34 sheet hung up covering a bulletin board with only 2 inches of the full sheet clinging to the wall above the board.

Permenant markers leave better color on the sheets than do the Expo markers. With Expo markers, you must not let the ink partially dry then color over or next to it as the first dried ink will be picked up (leaving white patches) by the marker tip when applying new wet ink.

I was very pleased with the product as I found that it worked "as advertised" for my application.

The box was open at both ends, and the pad of sheets was pretty much just thrown in. They are in no way 'rubbery' or 'firm', they are stupidly thin, we're talking on the line of plastic wrap. The closest thing I can describe the material to is trash bags. The perforation sucks, its pretty much impossible to not start it splitting down when you tear it.

I haven't tried writing on them yet, I'm still trying to flatten out the giant creases and folds resulting in the genius packing job. Could it really cost that much to wrap them around a giftwrap tube???? Yeah they are magnetic, and they stick to most everything, including dog hair and lint and itself.

This is the first bad review I've written, but I'm pissed off I spent almost 30 dollars for these. I don't know if I could return them but I would, $27 dollars is absolutely insane. MAYBE I would value them at $15. The packaging job was despicable.

Those of you looking for cheap white board for a more permanent application, look at home depot or lowes for that shower board stuff. Its a third of the price and a lot sturdier.

Amazon, not happy about this one. I really was pleased in the past, but will start looking elsewhere now.

Great product! It allows me the flexibility to create message boards -- anywhere(!), to customize the size and shape, and to move out of sight and yet save the text when necessary. It's my magic wherever wall!
