Too Small, Too Pricey,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: National Cycle Flyscreen - Fork Mount / Dark Tint N2537
This is a stylish accessory, but it is really too small to do much except look good. I ended up using a Slipstreamer Spitfire, which is less attractive but more functional at about half the price.

Does exactly what its supposed to do,

This review is from: National Cycle Flyscreen - Fork Mount / Dark Tint N2537
After reading several reviews, both positive and negative, about this product I decided to check it out for myself and purchased it. First, the quality and construction is excellent. Other reviewers complained about the installation instructions, but I found them to be pretty straight forward and easy to follow. Installation was fairly simply. A little tricky to fine tune the adjustments, but simple enough to put on.
The product looks great on my Sportster 48 and fits nicely with the minimal, bare essential style of the bike. Better than how its looks, is how it performs. While other reviewers found that it didn't deflect much wind... I couldn't disagree more. For its size, its amazing just how much wind it actually deflects from your chest. At city speeds you don't notice it as much, but get up to highway speeds and the difference is night and day. I'm 5'9', 170 lbs and hanging on at speeds over 70 mph would wear on me after a few miles. With this flyscreen on you barely feel the wind in your chest at all. Others stated that you feel the wind in your face and shoulders... well yeah, but no more than if you didn't have a flyscreen on. You certainly still get that wind in your face feel (but isn't that why we ride instead of drive). Remember, this isn't a windshield. If you're expecting this to knock the wind up and over your head and chest, you'll be very disappointed. This product does exactly what its supposed to do, and does it very well. It simply redirects the wind off your chest without adding a huge, obtrusive sail to the front of your bike. If you want to keep the clean lines of your bike but want the comfort of not fighting the wind at highway speeds, then I highly recommend this product.
