The #1 electrical reference, the 2005 National Electrical Code, is available through today's #1 electrical publisher, Delmar! The single most important reference in the electrical industry, the National Electrical Code (NEC), is updated every three years and outlines minimum standards for all types of electrical installations. The 2005 NEC, available in softcover or looseleaf version, is loaded with solutions designed to provide better safeguards, add greater usability, and bring provisions in line with technology trends. 3.0 out of 5 stars Buy the Handbook, November 6, 2006
This review is from: National Electrical Code 2005 Softcover Version (Paperback)
For experts, the National Electrical Code is the absolute standard for electrical and wiring regulations. For other than experts in the field, the Handbook is a better investment because of the examples, illustrations, and diagrams of different regulations. The index of the National Electrical Code is also incomplete and difficult to use for non experts. Terms, items and topics that are definitely in the Code are not listed in the index. The most complete investment is the Handbook and the CD.

Anyone who does purchase the paperback, standard version should also purchase the tabs.

5.0 out of 5 stars The National Electrical Code 2005, March 28, 2007

This review is from: National Electrical Code 2005 Softcover Version (Paperback)
This book is the quintessential book for all electricians who work actively in the field. It is almost necessary for all electricians looking to take their journeyman or master electricians test. A new NEC book is released every 3 years making it one of the tools an electrician must buy to keep up on the code changes. It's too bad it's so expensive. If you are considering becoming a licensed electrician you can look forward to shelling out at least $100.00 every three years to renew your license, and about $40.00 every year for licensing fees. But you can make a very good living being an electrician, so don't let the costs scare you away form this great trade.

The picture of the book I ordered looks exactly like the one that I received. Amazing! It actually has the NEC codes on the inside of the book which is exactly the reason I bought it. It is a really pretty book with lots of information.
