what can i say but here are all the rules to follow in order to be a safe and correct electrician. as an electrical contractor, i use this book almost daily to make sure my work is "up to code". the handbook shows in great detail plenty of examples and pictures of alot of the individual codes. this only helps to read and understand the national code. a must for anyone serious about his/her workmanship and the safety of the same workmanship.

The handbook provides good explanations. Although it is 3 codes old, it is good enough for guys just starting out and learning. The substance of the code has not changed, but the chapters have been re-arranged.
