My son, like many millions of other kids, is all about Angry Birds. Last night at the book fair at his school he chose this book. So glad that he did. Each of the 155 pages features the iconic photography of Nat Geo, focused on the expressions and "emotions" of all types of "angry" birds in nature. The photos are compelling and new; they range from birds in combat, to birds vomiting, to birds simply profiling for the camera. The text is interesting and informative. The interspersed profiles of the video game birds was a major draw for my kid, as were the other Angry Birds that decorate the text. Super smart and very fun, even if your kid's shelves are full of nature books.

Angry birds in scientific order is the best part of this book gives that jr ornithologist a head start in getting to know their species. The seasoned Birder can get a good laugh out of the outstanding pictures of the bird on human encounters. Overall a must buy for the bird enthusiast.

I had placed an order since April 2012. My son and I had waited, and somewhere in July we forgot that we did place an order. Well, this week, the book/magazine arrived and my son, a 9 year old, was very happy about it. He read and re-read it many times. Angry birds, not just a game anymore, with this educational material, they are taking it to the next level. I highly recommend it.

I realize that brown-headed cowbirds are nest parasites, but seeing two small bird parents struggling to feed a baby bird already twice their size, after the baby hatched early and kicked all the parent birds' eggs out of the nest really isn't that much fun.
Nor is seeing and reading about baby birds who devour their clutchmates.
I know, I know, it's nature, but it just makes me sad to look it in the face inside a book that claims to be fun.

My grandsons have the other National Geographic Book and I decided to get this one about Angry Birds. It was and continues to be a hit. Really well done. My grandsons are ages 7 and 8. It's great for all children 6 and above. My husband and I even enjoyed it. Nothing like buying Christmas gifts and enjoying them before the grandkids! This is what grandparenthood is all about.

Ordered four so I could give one to each of the grandkid's families and keep one. Easy for the 8 and 6 year olds to read as a chapter book or for me to read to them. Kept up their interested as they related to the game.

I have a five year old so who is completely obsessed with Angry Birds. He loves playing the games, uses gift money to buy stuffed birds, and would wear an Angry Birds shirt to school every day if he could. When I saw this book it was an obvious choice.

We've had this book for about a month now and I can tell that it will be around for a long time. Yes, some of the information about the birds is a little bit more than a five year old can understand, but it's easy enough for me to simplify and summarize. As he gets older and can read more, I know he will enjoy this book on a different level. The pictures are excellent and we've had many good discussions about them. If we'd had this book when he was younger, he would have enjoyed just looking at them. In addition, this is a book that I enjoy reading to him because it's interesting and informative. I will gladly read any book to my son to encourage him to enjoy reading, even if that means reading the same book over and over again. But it's nice to have an occasional book that interests me as well.

I think that this book is very well done and perfect for a child who likes Angry Birds or even just likes learning about the natural world.
