The stars and the outer space has always interested children and adults and now angry birds show and explain the mysteries of the space.

This book introduces space: what is a planet, what is a rocket ship, comets, comet clouds, etc.
Also it tells when a man was first time in a moon, what kind of suit he was wearing, and what are international space stations.

There is also a small glossary of all the space related words in this book and their meaning.

This is a great book for kids who are interested in space! It also has a list of solar and lunar eclipses of the past years.

This book has great illustrations of space and angry birds, too.

My 7 and 9 year olds love this book. They are big fans of the game and got a kick out of seeing the new characters. I appreciate that they actually learned real facts about space! We brought it along to dinner and while one played the game, the other read the book with me. The "astrofacts" are so much fun--who knew an 11 year old named Pluto or that a spacesuit weighs 250 pounds? Highly recommend this for families who like Angry Birds and space.

With the recent (Mar. 2012) release of the Angry Birds Space App, National Geographic has teamed up with Rovio and produced a book that explores the wonders of space, but with quirky comments from some of the Angry Birds.

The book is completely up-to-date and covers not only the basics of space, the sun, the moon, and the planets of our solar system, but such things as the major moons of some of the other planets in our solar system, the Allen Telescope Array, the Hubble Telescope, comets, nebula, Plutoids, black holes, exoplanets, and dark matter.

The book opens with a short introduction and a preface that explains the "plot" of Angry Birds Space. There's also a glossary at the end of the book that explains many of the space words used throughout the book. There's also an appendix that lists the solar and lunar eclipses of the next several years.

The book is fully illustrated. Most of the illustrations in the book are actual photographs taken from telescopes, satellites, etc. However, there are a few illustrations, too.

I learned a few things from reading the book. For instance, I hadn't heard of the term "Plutoid" until reading this book. Now I know what they are. Also, even though I know why the IAU demoted Pluto to a "dwarf planet" in 2006, I've never agreed with their reasoning (Why not add other planets to our solar system? And, couldn't we make an exception for Pluto?). NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ANGRY BIRDS SPACE presents perhaps the best understandable reason why Pluto was demoted. The reasoning is so complex, I'm not sure children will understand it, because I don't think most adults understand it either.

Overall, this is one of the best nonfiction children's books about space that I've come across in years. The added bonus of the Angry Birds will make it even more appealing for youngsters. Highly recommended for any child who has an interest in space.

I have been playing the original Angry Birds with my nephews ever since it was released. It's a great way to teach them about velocity, acceleration, and bird law. I was excited to see the next version was Angry Birds Space. This book is a perfect companion to the game- it has taught them so much. Plus, they think Space is even cooler than before!

This is a very detailed book. I bought it for my 8 year old grandson; he should enjoy it for several years. It is very interesting with just enough humor to make it attractive for a little boy.

This book is sure to be a hit with the early elementary school set, a prime age for both cute cartoons and fascination with space. My 6 year old daughter treasures this book and lingers over each page. There are real, accurate facts about our solar system as well as a lot of fun, tongue-in-cheek Angry Birds jokes and "facts."

My 6 year old nephew LOVES Angry Birds and also has taken an interest in both space and National Geographic (learning about the animals and places of the world). I got this on a whim because of the reviews that others had written praising it. I have to admit this is one of the smartest co-efforts of recent times. For once, a trendy game has actually teamed up with reputable educators and done something WONDERFUL for kids. This book is scientifically accurate and teaches about space through a story with Angry Birds. I am willing to wager almost any kid would love this book. Thank you to the creators!!!

When I heard about the book I had to get it for my 8 year old who loves to read. He really enjoys the games so I figured why not add to his collection of books with something that teaches him some fun and interesting facts about space. It was perfect timing with summer here and so many distractions of sun and fun to get him to read and not want to play play play all of the time. I highly recommend it to anyone. It is easy to read and has some things that us adults may not even know as well!
