3.0 out of 5 stars Limited, January 7, 2008
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:2.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: National Geographic™ Desktop Solar System Mobile (Toy)
Toy is a great item for children interested in space and exploration, however the educational value is limited in that the planets do not rotate individually, and the relative sizes of the objects are not accurate. Ends up being just a big nightlight.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun, but slipshod, March 15, 2008
This review is from: National Geographic™ Desktop Solar System Mobile (Toy)
Fun, and a lovely conversation piece--but not only are the proportions approximate at best, but the project is shot through with straight-out inaccuracies. Most strikingly, the astronomical symbols for Saturn and Uranus are reversed!

Also, our copy arrived without the CD-ROM mentioned on the box. Caveat emptor.

1.0 out of 5 stars did not work -returned, February 18, 2009
= Durability:2.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: National Geographic™ Desktop Solar System Mobile (Toy)
This item did not work. Power wasn't getting to the lights or the motion. We used two different sets of batteries but it still did not work. I have already returned it and gotten my refund.
