expose yourself to the true music of Spain, January 27, 2004
This review is from: National Geographic-Destination: Spain (Audio CD)
This is a well-compiled album that accurately approaches the different genres of the regional music of Spain. If you think the music in Spain is limited to only flamenco, this CD will shatter those preconceptions. The uninitiated listener will be surprised that there are several languages and dialects represented on the album, all of which are native to Spain (shock! horror!) It is refreshing to hear the celtic-ish tunes of the north also represented on this compilation. The gaita (or bagpipe of northern Spain, in various incarnations) is even heard on the album, which is a wonderful treat. This is an excellent album the many genres of modern interpretations of Spanish folk music.

Great Spanish music!, May 31, 2009
This review is from: National Geographic-Destination: Spain (Audio CD)
This is a cd that I had owned before and my daughers and I loved. It got missplaced when we moved a few years ago and I finally got around to purchasing another. Needless to say I found the other one a week or so after I recieved the new one so I was able to give one away. This is a great selection of music from all over Spain.
