If you live in Michigan and like bird watching you have to get this book. I have been able to identify many birds and it is nice that I can just stick in in my pocket. The book contains real pictures so it's easier to identify birds and it also has the birds indexed by their color, so if you see a bird and you don't know what it is, you can simply look at a list of birds of that particular color.
One thing this book lacks is information about birds, it's kind of basic in that area. However, it is a pocket field guide and should be treated as such. For more information on a bird's behavior and biology there are other full size books available.

Good photographs, very small & portable. For more detail, look at Birds of Michigan or author Stan Tekiela.
