This Guide is full of helpful information, including what to see, what to skip if you are short on time, and how long it may take. This really helps when trying to plan a trip. It also includes other things to see in the area, plus maps and directions. Some other guides that I have had do not include as much help on how much time to allow for certain things or where to find the best sunrise/sunsets, etc. I am very pleased with this book.

I really enjoyed the great overview this book provides about National Parks in the southwest. My only beef is it left me wanting more. There is lots of good information and great color pictures of each site but as with any book trying to cover multiple locations it can't tell you everything. I recently bought the book because I was heading to Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. Even though the information provided was informative and a great introduction to the parks, I ended up buying another book dedicated to just the two parks. This book had many more pictures but I needed both books to get the full feel of what I was getting into. In my experience, the information in this book is accurate and the pictures are great but they don't really do justice to the Grandeur of the parks when you see them in person. Even armed with multiple cameras myself, the pictures I took don't do justice to the awesome views you will see in person. This book has more pictures than most but I was hoping for more which is why I didn't give it five stars.

Took a power trip out west and this book came in quite handy. I liked the feature "what not to miss". Quite often we went straight to that box to determine what sights to see. We will use this book on future wild west trips. (-;
