I spent the weekend reviewing the images in this book. What a treat it was. It's not just another collection of the same images we have come to see again and again.
The book delves deep into to the archives of the National Geographic society to find images that represent all aspects of their collection. What a great variety of images, photographers and styles, all held together and presented in this beautiful book.
It's hard to say what I liked best, there is just so much to choose from, Old B&W, autochrome plates and both 35 mm and digital photography. Such beautiful Images -and not the ones that are published over and over. they took me into what it must be like to work there, behind the scenes.

If you know anyone who loves photography this is the gift to buy them this holiday season

This book contains such a broad range of photographs from all over the world. Each page is a reminder of the incredible richness of the human and natural world. I do not know much about photography, but it's amazing to see how both the quality and the style of photographs has evolved over the past century. This is a truly enduring book that I will enjoy for years to come.

Some of the most exceptional National Geographic photos are found in this book. But the quality of paper used to reproduce this book disappointed me. I would be willing to pay more for a better quality paper to highlight these photographic masterpieces.

I bought this book as a Christmas gift for a colleague and couldn't be more delighted. In fact, I enjoyed browsing its pages before I wrapped it so much, I'm going to order a copy for my own bookshelves. It's definitely a keeper!

This book offers a great number of pictures. However, I was not very impressed by them. I didn't find a lot of outstanding pictures as one would expect from National Geographic.

Bought this book as a gift for a friend. I was able to flip through it briefly before giving it away, and the images were spectacular. My friend has commented to me many times that he really enjoys his new book, and flips through it quite a bit to read interesting things. It is a very large book, and seems perfect to be a very nice "coffee table" book after you are done reading it cover to cover.

I bought this as a Christmas gift and my boyfriend loved it. This book doesn't have to be just for photographers but for those who appreciate the art. I looked through it myself and I was especially taken with the animal shots they were magnificent. You will be astounded at what can be captured in a four corner shot.

I bought it as a gift for my sister and brother-in-law, both professionals. It looks great on the coffee table in their living room!

This book contains excellent pictures all around the world as only Nat Geo can show them. I definitely recommend this book
