I got this Nat Geo "fanny pack" to keep all my photography tidbits in one place when out in the field. I've actually found it tucks nicely around the gizmo bag add-on I have on a massive Pelican case I tote my telescope in.

I actually bought this because I have several other Nat-Geo bags and love them all. I needed another small one to store things like USB cables, memory card cases, spare body caps, cleaning clothes in while on the road. Wearing it (yes, I'll admit to wearing it even though it's a fanny pack), it's comfortable and secure. The clasp on it is a metal thing that simply does not let go unless you intentionally intend to release it.

I travel light, and always carry a camera, documents and other stuff (who doesn't). I've owned several other waist packs from different brand names, and they always have one main storage area and few outer pockets/compartments. Everything got mixed after walking a couple of hours, money, camera, gum, passport, map, batteries and whatever else.

This one has two storage areas, one specifically PADDED for camera (NO NEED for a camera case) and other delicate stuff like iPod or whatever you can think of, and another for my stuff plus a rear zippered flat rectangular compartment perfect for travel documents, money and tickets. The inside of the main compartments is divided to keep things from flopping around as you walk. And has smaller outer pockets to keep camera batteries and SD cards handy.

And it looks great without being "too stylish", if you know what I mean. Will look good on jeans or shorts and a T-shirt as well as khakis and a shirt. Looks like it might keep things dry in light rain, I'm yet to find out.

I take it with me to all my trips, very spacious, comfortable and handy. I keep in it my camera, a small video camera, my cel phone, my wallet. Has a lot of compartments for all your objects safe-keeping. It leaves my hands and shoulders free. Very easy access to all compartments. I just love it!

Normally I carry a camera backpack every where I go. But, this handy waist pack will save on a lot of unnecessary equipment to carry around. Normally I use one lens on my camera which makes it convenient for getting my pictures. But still carrying around everything with me. Now I don't have to. This handy waist pack has lots of pockets for carrying around my extra memory cards, extra battery, filters, cable release, camera manual, lens cleaner. The pack is very well made and durable. Should last for many years. It keeps my hands free and not worry about taking the backpack off to take pictures or getting it out of the way. I carry my tripod in a shoulder type strap carrier. So, there is quite a load off my back for hiking around to get my shots. I am very happy with my purchase. It was money well spent.
