I have come to enjoy reading National Geographic Traveler because it usually couples great articles with wonderful images of the places being covered. The kindle version only has one image per article and does not even have the feel of an online magazine that I have seen on other sites. I was greatly disappointed and don't even want to bother finishing the 14-day trial. If they improve the quality of the kindle version, I will consider getting it in the future. But it must feel as if I am actually getting the magazine version and not some ebook version.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the $$ May 7, 2012

Amazon Verified Purchase
They should have charged 99 cents for this. This was my first and last magazine purchase from amazon. I should have read all the gotchas in the hidden accordions about this magazine.

I gave them the 2 stars for the smooth purchase and delivery process.

Cons:
- lack of photos and their lame excuse about a better experience for your device. People need to stop with nonsense like that. We're adults. We can handle the truth not this marketing nonsense.
- Not all devices are supported.

I saw this issue at the airport and thought it would be better to have this on my mobile device. I wanted this issue because of all the great photos in the cover story. Surprised me that none of those great photos were on the kindle version. For another $2 I could have bought the printed copy at the airport. The printed copy is mobile too. :)

But seriously amazon. If you want this part of your business to take off you need to have a better product or a much much lower price.

2.0 out of 5 stars where's the beef? December 29, 2011
Only one picture per chapter! The pictures have been left out or edited out. Magazines should have plenty of photos especially national geographic. I feel like a child asking for pictures but come on its not a novel.
I would give it 5 stars if it was the same as the hard copy.

I have tried this app on both iPad and an Android tablet and saw a huge difference. On the iPad, the magazine is just like the print copy, with beautiful pictures and nice fonts. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Certainly worth the price, but room for improvement on Kindle Fire.
Nat Geo Traveler on my Kindle Fire is quite readable and enjoyable between "page view" and "text view", especially for the low price of $1.33 per month! Read more

Although the articles get 1 picture in the Kindle Edition, the articles talk about very interesting places and teach you some words in other languages.
