We are a homeschooling family and have found this to be a good resource to accompany our U.S. History learning. It contains a lot of information and has great visuals and has kept my 9 year old son interested without getting bogged down.

A good reference for our homeschool! The maps, photos, and facts are very well laid out and interesting. Easy for even the youngest to get a gauge of where they are in the country, but also good as they grow up. Recommended highly.

Checked this book out of the library several times, and finally thought we should own a copy. We use it for our geography and mapping unit study. Have also gone on- line for the extras. It's a beautiful book.

We gave this as a Christmas present to our precocious 7yo granddaughter. She promptly devoured this atlas, learning all the state capitols in the process (plus other state facts). What a surprise to the adults in her life! The book is well written and illustrated, and hard for anyone to put down once opened. A good choice for omnivorous early readers!

This was a gift for a child. She also received the world atlas for young explorers and the almanac. Can't go wrong with National Geographic.
