Okay, first of all here are the easy instructions

Instructions: (amazon wouldnt let me post a link so here are step by step instructions)

Before you get started, here's a list of things you'll need:
- Door stop
- Screwdriver or point chisel
- Hammer

With that, follow the simple steps below to install a hinged door stop in no time!
Step #1: Decide whether you want to install the door stop at the door's top hinge or at its bottom hinge.
Step #2: Close the door to keep it in place while working.
Step #3: Place the tip of a screwdriver or a point chisel at the bottom end of the hinge pin.
Step #4: Tap the head of the screwdriver or chisel with a hammer to back out and remove the hinge pin from the hinge.
Step #5: Install the hinge door stop in its place. Insert the hinge pin part of the stopper into the hinge holes. Tap the head of the hinge pin with a hammer to secure it in the hinge.
Step #6: Open the door to test the stopper. Screw it in to decrease the stopping distance if the door isn't opening wide enough. Screw the stopper out to increase the stopping distance if the door is opening too wide and the doorknob still hits the wall. You've now successfully installed a hinged door stop!

Picture of what it should look like: (again they took down my picture link). The round rubber stopper should be toward the door frame and the rectangle rubber stopper on the door itself.

I installed in in 2 minutes. It's easy and it works!

These are very nice and they work great. Just pull the pin from the top of the highest door hinge and install between the pin and the hinge. The problem is at $4.xx on amazon.com its not a deal, at home depot or lowes this same product is in a huge bin with a permanent price tag under $2.50.

Granted, these are simple to install once you know what you're doing, but there were no instructions or pix showing which side goes against the door and which goes against the wall. When I googled there were several amazingly unhelpful "how-to" sites that didn't tell me what I needed to know, until finally: put the adjustable side towards the wall. That said, great product. It's out of the way and doesn't project out from baseboard moldings where it's either unsightly or a hazard. One caution - my contractor told me that if you have a heavy door you might want to use two or more of these on each door. Otherwise you run the risk of damaging your sheetrock.

This items works as promised. I installed it myself, and I'm not particularly handy. I pulled out the door's hinge pin, slipped on the Hinge Pin Door Stop, and re-inserted the pin. I think I might have spent 5 minutes doing this job--very satisfying to get something done so quickly and have to work so well.

It is ridiculously easy to adjust the twisty part of the door stop to set the door to open exactly as far as I want it to go without allowing it to slam into the new Ikea wardrobe I just put behind my bedroom door.

Not too much to say. They look decent and they work.

Installation tip: the flat plastic protector goes against the door and the rounded stopper goes against the door frame or wall.

These look much better then the shiny brass ones that are carried locally at my hardware store. They aren't complex and they work as advertised.

If you put them on a door that could open 180° you won't be able to adjust these to allow that much opening. The max angle these seem to allow is about 125°.

Why not five stars?
No installation instructions
Not adjustable past 125° (Not a huge deal, but I have one door I wanted to let open more then that.)

I bought this product because the doors at my house were constantly being banged into the walls, and I didn't want to install a door stop on the floor or on the wall. This was the perfect product to buy for my purpose, and it works well. It is a pretty product (nice looking) and small enough to not be noticeable. It works well at protecting my walls, and has stood up to the abuse of dogs and kids. I highly recommend this product for anyone wanting to protect their walls.

When we remodeled one of our bathrooms, we decided to keep the doors to save money.
The old doors had those awful spring doorstops on them.
Once the doors were primed and painted, we added new hardware and swapped the springy things for these door stops.
They work great and look much better.
