I'm not a fan of reviewing products someone doesn't actually have which to be honest is the case with what I am doing here and if some people who actually have this album review it I am happy to take down this post as obviously it affects the overall product rating and although I'm sure it would no doubt be five stars, I can't say that for sure.

I just wanted to point out that Lindsey Buckingham's songs Holiday road and Dancin' Cross the USA are actually on the tenth anniversary special release soundtrack (1999) for the third movie in the Griswolds saga National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation Soundtrack (Compact Disc not LP though). These were the main reasons I wanted this album in the first place, I do remember someone having the original movie (this product) on LP when I was a kid (this was before CDs were around) and it had songs from the movie (I remember because being a kid I wondered why they wouldn't just watch the video rather than listen to parts of the movie, of course today I have a greater appreciation for listening to it). So if you can't find this I'd buy the Christmas Vacation soundtrack, as if you really just wanted Holiday Road and don't care if its not on LP then track down a copy of the Christmas Vacation soundtrack.

***** The "Vacation" sound track is great just for even two songs alone, both by Lindsey Buckingham.

O'why, O'why then, is there no cd sound track for the first "National Lampoons' Vacation". I can only guess that the are legal reasons for not being released - I can't believe nobody wants to make money from a simple transfer.

Never fear.

If you have a legal copy of a Vinyl Record. You can make a transfer. Just "Bing": 'transfer vinyl records to cd', select a vendor making your copy under the legal requirements and you've got your cd.
