5.0 out of 5 stars To answer your questions..., May 3, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: National Lampoon's Van Wilder (Audio CD)
Some answers to a few of the questions posted here:

It's not De La Soul, but close. The track is called "Show Me" by an artist named Mint Royale featuring Pos from De La Soul. Despite efforts to include the song on the soundtrack album the track didn't make the album due to reasons beyond anyone's control. Check out Mint Royale's record, though. It's great.

The song that plays during the Bahmitzvah is "Radio Song" by Swirl 360 who also has one song on the soundtrack album, "Okay". "Radio Song" is not yet commercially available.

"Hello" by Sugarbomb is the song that plays at the end of the movie. Though the song was cleared for use in "Van Wilder.." first, it was also used in the movie "Orange County" which discouraged everyone from including the track on the album.

The song that plays as Van arrives for the basketball game is "How Does It Feel" by Sugarcult. Their song "Bouncing Off The Walls" is on the soundtrack album.

Unfortunately, choosing which songs to include on the soundtrack album was very difficult. There are a total of 43 songs used in the movie and only thirteen spots for the soundtrack album. Those involved would have loved to include so much more from many of the developing artists who contributed to the picture - Spymob, Bird 3, Sprung Monkey, Bender, etc. Check out their albums and don't forget to look into some of the developing artists who did make it to the soundtrack like Transmatic, David Mead, N.E.R.D., Sia, Abandoned Pools, and Fuzz Townshend.

4.0 out of 5 stars Here are all the songs in the movie, March 5, 2005
By
EetMiseSchwartz "A.J." (NV, The United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: National Lampoon's Van Wilder (Audio CD)
This every every song, organized by the song title, performer, then what DVD chapters the track appears on.

Songs like "Radio Song," "Rave Workout," "Never Going to Fly" and "Let It Go" have not (yet) been released commercially, so they're not on any CDs. Also, "My N*ggaz" and "Walking On the Moon" can be found on MasterSource's website.

+ The techno song that's playing while Van and Hutch "make their eclairs" is "Rave Workout". You can find it on the Tunedge wesbite (Google that name, but you have to register). A song that sounds like a "Limp Bizkit instrumental for M:I2" plays before that - the preparation - but it's not Limp Bizkit. It's original music that's supposed to sound like the score from Mission: Impossible 2. You can't download it on any website. Everything else you hear is score by the composer or unreleased tracks with no artist/performer.

Please, try not to make a lot more reviews (or at least quote me and use my list) because it'll knock this review to the second page, and people asking song questions already answered are annoying.

There's a punk-ish song in the trailers and TV spots with female vocals I still don't know. In some online clips, "Bleed American" in the hockey scene is replaced with Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" and "Don't Leave Me This Way" by Thelma Houston is in some versions of that '70s disco-themed party scene.
