Really nice drawings, much more detail, interest and discussion than with regular coloring books. Nice write-ups about each park and a map of the US with parks located on it.

YEs, this is a coloring book for kids (as are his other dover books)and all the books show a tremendous knowledge of history and details that are exceptional.In this book however, Mr. copeland enters another venue-landscape a very difficult subject..No color just line..I have my students study his use of line to describe a rock,,very complex. However, check out the central image in the book- an overhead view of grand canyon..He mustve worked in this for a while..turns out he is not school trained so its even more interesting..On this 2 page image he is using stipling (dots) to convey some very complex stuff..yes, kids willl have fun coloring but I find this book a good beginning to discuss the complex subject of landscape drawing with my elementary school students.

I am a substitute teacher. I am always looking for extras I can use in the classroom when we have run out of normal things to do. Sometimes I have 10-20 minutes to fill before dismissal and this book is perfect! Its educational,tactile and fuels the imagination!

I was looking for some coloring books for my 9-year-old nephew and this was perfect because he is very interested in the outdoors. I was impressed with the details and he started coloring the day we gave it to him!

Enjoyed these pictures of our parks and taking time to color them in while playing with grandchildren and sipping coffee!
