I bought this item and it worked for one day and then did not work after that. When I contacted the National Products Service Center, which is located in California, they were not much help. All of the customer service reps sounded like they were 16 and they did not seem to have a clue. They kept referring me to "affiliated" service centers in my area that never did or no longer wanted to deal with this company. They seemed very unprofessional and not very efficient. When I finally had to return the item to Amazon, I was penalized for exceeding 30 days and had to pay out of my pocket. The only reason why I exceeded the 30 days was because I was hoping the manufacturer- National Products, would have assisted me in finding somewhere to fix this toy car. However, the moment they asked me if my husband was handy and could fix it himself, that's when I knew I had to return this defective product.

Do not buy this toy. I was told by a worker at one of the so-called service centers, who would only check the car's battery power, that this toy car is basically a dud and National Products is unhelpful and a joke.

My daughter received this for her birthday from her grandmother. It stopped working after 2 months...long after the 30 days were up. The battery won't charge so it's simply taking up space in my garage. My daughter really loved the gift and was very excited about it but was so dissapointed when it stopped working. Please don't waste your money on this item.

Ordered this for my 3 yr old. For about 2 months it ran fine, now we can't charge the battery and it just sits. i haven't found anyplace that sells this type of battery, either, as it is not your typical "power wheels" type 6V. Cute styling, but turned out to be a waste of money.
