This thing is HORRIBLE! My 1 year old son received one of these yellow H2's from his Grandpa this past Christmas. It took a few minutes, but was fairly easy to put together. Charged the battery for 18 hours. Took my son outside, all he could do was step on the petal, but he loved it. He started riding down the driveway. The first thing I notice is that this H2 had virtually no traction. Even on the driveway it spins the wheels. As far as riding off road at all, even in grass, forget it. So he road about 150 yards and the battery died; I ended up pushing him back.

This thing could barely pull my 1 year old!

So, the truck ends up sitting in my garage until spring. I stored the battery with a full charge (18 hours). Today was the second day we took the H2 out this spring. Again today, I ended up pushing my son, now 2, up the driveway. So after a little bit of searching I found this customer no-service number, 1-877-743-3899. All they told me was my product was out of the 90 day warranty and they couldn't do anything for me, unless I wanted to buy a $30 battery.

No, I'm not going to buy their battery for $30. I'm going to walmart to buy a real power-wheels battery and charger, and I'm going to MAKE it work.

From this point, I will not be buying any products made by 'National Products LTD'

Sorry to everyone for sounding so negative about this little H2.

The only good thing I can say about it is that it looks REALLY COOL!

We purchased two of these as a giveaway this Christmas... One Boys(yellow) and One Girls (pink). We were absolutely amazed at how cool these Hummers actually looks. It does require some assembly... and patience, but overall, well worth it to see the youngsters riding around in these stylish cruisers.

This is a great learner for a lifetime of dexterity with Hand, Foot & Eye Coordination. And helps build awareness.

This is the 6v versions of the Hummer and is only recomended for ages 1.5 to 4 years of age. These are more of an entry level riding toy and generally are made as a single seater/rider.

If you want a larger riding toy, then you will want the 12v version, which is larger and will ride two children, up to 6/7 years of age. With a max cruising speed of 5 mph.

Although the battery has a charge, it is recommended that you charge the battery for a full 18 hours before using. So plan ahead, before presenting this as a gift to the little one.

This being a 6 volt does not have enough power to pull a 4 year old around and i think if the child was 2 and under it would be ok. Very disappointed!!! :(

The battery doesn't last even 15 minutes . My kid has used it may be 10-15 times since I purchased it about 45 days. Every time the battery runs out of juice after 15 minutes.

As per instructions we charged it for 18 hours 1st time and we charge it for 12-14 hours after each run.

- It is cool to have a Electric Hummer and my kid likes it a lot.

- Assembly was simple

We purchased both the National Products 6V Yellow Hummer H2 Ride-On and the Power Wheels F-150 ride-on at the same time for our daughter's 3 and 4 year olds. The Hummer was much easier to assemble and is very cute. However, the F-150 is better built and is much more powerful. The little yellow Hummer has a hard time on grass, often spinning it's wheels, and cannot go up even a small grassy incline. It works fine on flat pavement. The power differences have actually worked out for us as the 4-year-old likes the F-150 and is adept at driving it while the 3 year-old is content with the much less powerful Hummer. At least for now. I have a feeling we will have to "upgrade" to another Power Wheels within a year.

I just got this product for my daughter this week for her birthday. The product is advertised for children 3-7 years old. My 4 yr old can hardly hold in the car. she doesnt have much use left .If she grows another 2- 3 inches it will not be useful.

Thought it would allow for some growth.

This is an inexpensive electric toy and it shows. Very weak battery. Far less power than other 6-volt units that I've seen. This was purchased for a two year old so that being under-powered is actually a positive in that it makes it slower and safer. My only serious complaint is the decorative transfers, there are dozens of them and some are not fully die cut, making them impossible to remove from the backing sheet.

Grandson was very happy and so was I until Christmas day when he wanted to ride . The battery only lasted about 20 minutes. You can charge it and it still will not hold a charge. Has no power. Even in the few minutes that it has a charge it just dosen't want to go. Have bought these ride on toys in the past and never had a problem like this.Hummer is great if it would only run. Have to buy a new battery and hope that works.

We bought this for our two and a half year old grandson who is tall for his age. He loves the look of this car but it is too slow as it has only one gear. He also has a John Deere tractor with a second gear that is much faster so he becomes a bit bored with this slower model at times. It is nice looking, sturdy and for the less daring driver, would be a good choice. We have only had it since Christmas 2009, but its still in great shape.

Let the thing charge for well over 18 hours and the battery only lasted about 3 minutes. Tried charging it again and the battery didnt work at all. I called the manufacter and said that I was out of warrenty time on the battery..silly me for buying it November and not testing it out until xmas.

Once I went and bought a new battery it worked....POORLY. It spins its wheels and has no traction. It gets stuck on the littlest bump and if there is a hill...forget about it.
